It is a very high quality bike
No one wanted the bike until they doubled the price, thats the only thing I laugh about. But if it makes someone happy, it is what it is, $2k aint that much

It has a spin studio bike geometry. Built for comfort, not speed. In my experience, thats better for base work. easier on your back. Better to save that stress on your back for when you're outside if you ask me.

Bought my wife a cruiser for our little town, and the geometry is fricked up for trying to go fast.
It’s damn near impossible to get out of the saddle and haul arse in 3rd gear. Check out where the crank is. Called flat foot technology.
Hers has cute little wicker saddle baskets in the back...so it’s obviously not made for races.

I've been saving for months to get a new bike tire.
The struggle is real.
Set up a GoFundMe.
I got 5 on it!

My aunt sent me a link to this.

Way late to this thread but no one should ever pay for that bike. My wife and I wanted one as well but screw that price. You can get this bike, a $12/month membership to the peloton app on your phone, connect it to a TV, and do all the rides everyone else does on a $2000 bike.
The only thing you are missing is the direct link to the real time rides. Meaning, you aren't on the leaderboard and the instructor doesn't call out your name for being a billy bad arse on the bike. You also can't tell cadence, speed, and resistance but as you continuously do it, you get better at getting int he ballpark by watching the instructors legs cadence. i'd rather spend $300 and still join the classes than know that stuff. No loss to me.

They have the Peloton tread now so there are a lot of running workouts loaded on there as well.
Pardon my ignorance but what is a running workout?
I feel like a caveman just putting on my shoes and running on the earth outside my door.

I bet that $219 bike is an absolute piece of shite.
Screw that bike.

I do,too.
When I spend $100 on shoes and then realize that's all I have to invest in order to run, I'm okay.

I put mine right next to my refrigerator that makes coffee so I can admire it while riding my Peloton.

No excuse with a treadmill. Never too cold, too hot or too wet to run.
I do like to get out though...

Those Sunny bikes are absolute dog shite.
I wouldn't get a Peloton because it's not for me, but I definitely understand why some people would. Zwift + a smart trainer works for some people, a Peloton works for others. Anything that gets people off their arse makes me happy.

For the record, commercial grade spin bikes like the peloton bike are all well and over 1k. Usually around 2k.
I don't have one but have a garage gym with lots of commercial equipment. I don't regret buying any of it.

You need a bike that can tell you cadence and resistance as you don't always have full view of the instructor's legs. They will tell you which cadence range to be in and at what resistance to turn the knob to.
At least get a decent quality bike...that bike looks like total piece of crap. Like showing up for a cycling race with a Huffy 10 speed you bought at Walmart.
