The Hill
A top health official in Ohio estimated on Thursday that more than 100,000 people in the state have coronavirus, a shockingly high number that underscores the limited testing so far.
Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton said at a press conference alongside Gov. Mike DeWine (R) that given that the virus is spreading in the community in Ohio, she estimates at least 1 percent of the population in the state has the virus.
"We know now, just the fact of community spread, says that at least 1 percent, at the very least, 1 percent of our population is carrying this virus in Ohio today," Acton said. "We have 11.7 million people. So the math is over 100,000. So that just gives you a sense of how this virus spreads and is spreading quickly."

Hopefully they stocked up on toilet paper!

And how many of those don’t know they have it because they’re asymptomatic or their symptoms are so minimal that they aren’t bothering to seek medical advice?

It’s an estimate based on the fact that it’s spreading with to random people all over the state with no connection to each other

Cool. Now run the numbers on people in Ohio with douchebagitis.

So the state of Ohio carries over half of the current stated cases in the world?
Not sure which is harder to believe. Stated numbers or this TOP health official.

Ohio is a third world shithole like China

Ok, let's say she's correct. The next salient questions are "How many critically ill people are in the ICU across Ohio" and "is that number seemingly out of line for an average for this time of year"?
that should give some type of insight as to what we are dealing with here

That would mean the mortality rate is lower than the flu.
Based on the number of people who visited Italy who got it, I think 20 or 30 million people in Italy have it. Again making mortality lower than flu. Only problem is that everyone is sick at one time.

I estimate that they are full of shite.

The sooner they get accurate numbers about how many have the virus, the sooner we get an accurate mortality rate. My guess is when that happens this virus will fall in line with the typical flu virus in terms of concern.

I’m not sure I’m buying this number.
