Recent acquisitions made some back office redundancies.
Gotta keep up with Children’s.

My wife works for them as well. Last year was the first unprofitable year in over a decade. Rising costs of materials is what’s doing it and it’s not coming down. Inflation is causing many fields to find ways to consolidate and layoffs is one of the first options.
These cuts will first hit the support staffs: HR, IT, Etc.

There are too many VPs and unnecessary management positions. Also people getting paid to do nothing. They should have done this a while back.

I consult now with health systems across the country. Everyone is fricked. Like proper fricked as the British would say

My wife is support staff. She’s on a call right now.

I wonder how many of those 770 they forced the clot shot on against their will?

Before I quit, Ochsner was in budget cuts and they said they were trying to avoid layoffs. Now the layoffs begin. Glad I left.

My wife got the email but she didn't get an invite to the 9AM meeting. My coworkers wife got an invite to a 9AM meeting, she's a manager.

Any system is better than their system.
I'll never work for Ochsner. When I finished residency, Ochsner hounded me for a job.

They're a client of mine. Everything requires a meeting with 8 random female "managers" involved...so therefore it takes three more meetings to make the decision I'm telling them all along is their best or only option.

The cuts will not affect doctors, nurses and other patient-facing staff, according to Ochsner CEO Pete November. Employees in management, administrative jobs and clerical positions will see the bulk of the cuts

All of those 770 fall under the CMS Mandate which is still active, so their work life was made an administrative miserable and burdensome hell even if they presented a medical/religious/philosophical exemption to HR. And to reward them for filing said exemption, Oschner surcharged their major medical monthly premiums $200 (extra $2400 per year) if either them or their spouse was unvaxxed.

Their salaries are way behind the regional average too. There was supposed to be a market adjustment 3 years ago but they delayed it to this year and only gave it to about 60% of personnel. Those people didn’t get a bonus. If you didn’t get a market adjustment, you got a bonus. Pissed lots of people off.

Glad they all brushed up on their dancing skills over the scamdemic. Penthouse running low on talent.
