Did they put her on iron supplementation? If they did or if she is just taking over the counter iron, take it with orange juice. Vitamin C will help the absorption of iron.

They even make a compound Icar-C which is form of iron with ascorbic acid in the same pill to help with absorption. It's pretty expensive though.

Also another thought, if she is having heavy periods, this may be a contributing factor to her anemia.

Exactly.

The vaccine may not prevent the rash itself. But it most likely will prevent the post-herpetic neuralgia, or pain associated with Shingles. Which is the goal anyways.

She goes into the men's room with me. I stand outside of her stall and wait till she is done.

I have gone into the woman's room once or twice when there was no stalls in the men's room. The few times I have done that, the ladies are more than ok with it when they see her with me.

MD here.

I have long been away from residency and intubations and ORs, but I wonder if they used Succinylcholine if she did get intubated. It talks about her only receiving bupivacaine for the spinal. But Succ causes hyperkalemia and if they also gave her extra potassium, that isn't good either.
