I wonder what’s the time frame for Kaiser to take over Ochsner Health. Took about 3 years for Ochsner to buy the Lafayette hospital system but of course that was during a pandemic

Is this just a rumor or does it have legs?

I fear Kaiser is months away from buying Ochsner.

Maybe months away from an announcement, but the amount of work that would have to go into something like this would make the process take years. Especially in the state of Louisiana

Just a rumor for now , but I was hearing about ochsner being sold last spring from someone on the board. At that time I passed it off as just something they considered.

Let’s use some logic…

1) Payer mix in O’s market is deteriorating, as businesses abandon LA/MS.
2) Patient population in the market is among the unhealthiest in the country

Why would this be somewhere anyone would want to invest resources in the hopes to maximize profits?

Sorry that folks are getting laid off.

This is the swing of the covid pendulum where hospitals were paid huge federal dollars to kill patients with remdesovir and refusal to use proven inexpensive therapeutics like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.

Big pharma made " a killing" and Drs refused to stand up for their " hypocritical oath" allowing tens of thousands of their patients to die needlessly.

So excuse me if I don't feel bad for you evil frauds.

They need to reshape their entire corporate culture to make money. All hospitals have to make money to stay in business. Their employees tend to think they are charity, except for their pay, of course and are exceptionally spoiled and wasteful.
