770 people getting axed. Think they are only offering 65 days severance as well

Most places I've worked it's been based on tenure up to some cap.

If they just wait a couple of weeks all those employees will likely die anyway from the vax and save Ochsner severance money

Is it known if the reduction is across the whole company, or is it more focused on 1 facet of the company (administration, specific clinics, etc.)?

ETA: lsupride87 posted an article that answered my question.

The cuts will not affect doctors, nurses and other patient-facing staff, according to Ochsner CEO Pete November. Employees in management, administrative jobs and clerical positions will see the bulk of the cuts, which will be spread evenly across the institution’s facilities in both states.

Non direct patient care is all I heard. I’m sure once the news of who was let go exactly that may become more clear

I know the docs are leaving at rapid rates from their hospitals.

I heard a bunch of nurses at Lafayette General quit recently too after Ochsner took over.
