As far as I know that has yet to be determined and is going to be up to the court to decide.

Of course it has not been determined and of course it will be up to the court (a jury, probably) to decide, but of course no intent to commit murder will also be his likely defense.

Unless these witnesses testify hearing him use words that reflect an intent to murder (possible), I don’t think the duration of an arse whoopin is enough. We probably agree 5 minutes is a long time to wail on someone, but not if the goal is to keep him down until the cops show up.

Average Joe is judged by lower standards than average cop. Average cop gets convicted of murder in this scenario. But average Joe probably gets probation.

Wars are not won by defending yourself or defending a parallel.

You win by routing your enemy to the point they can’t attack again.

Good job scummy looking dude.

Is that a fair comparison though? Two entirely different motives. One was petty, and the other was extreme.

From what I've read it doesn't sound like the thief was ever attacking him, so I don't think that defense is going to work either

Guy is standing in a parking lot, presumably not in a big throng of people. Another guy asks him for money and he tells him to frick off. Then the other guy somehow ends up with his wallet.

I see some have painted this as some sort of 'pickpocket' incident, but the above scenario, makes it hard to see it as such and not the beater guy somehow getting 'attacked'. Otherwise, how exactly did the thief guy come to get a hold of the guy's wallet?

Oh cool so it’s ok for the thief not to be punished

One of those phone calls would be to the police. I didn’t sat anything about letting him get away with it.

I’m have the same sentiment. If you frick with people, someone will put you in your place. But that someone will still face consquences. Good or bad.

That depends on the life and the property.

A just world would have this man acquitted as soon as possible with no jail time.

I've had my car broken into, I've had my home in Mid City burglarized and I wanted to do this to the perpetrator each time. I'm glad a crook got caught and I'm glad a crook is dead. Frick the crooks; this guy is a hero.

If I am on that jury, I would make sure he is not guilty, or at the very least, a hung jury.

I'm going to kill myself unless everyone in this thread gives my everything they own. Remember, Father Scooba told us every life is more important than any possession. TIA.

IDK. 5 consecutive minutes of beating a man after he got the wallet back, I'm fairly sure the dude has some dangerous mental issues. That's fricked up even for a "I wish a mother fricker would" mentality.
