So he’ll get Probation. No problem.

But we do have a fricked up bail system where accused people have to pay large sums of money during the innocence phase or be locked in steel cages.

When will New Orleans pass common sense fist and feet control laws? You can't use them to hunt.

It’s definitely manslaughter and yet I don’t care. Manslaughter is punishable at 0-40 years. He should be convicted and sentenced to 0 years.

That’s a high bond but maybe this guy has a lot of priors. Brigid Collins was a defense attorney for a long time.

Louisiana's current stance is that it is perfectly acceptable to have your possessions stolen and the thieves face little or no fear of repercussion. They know the law protects their safety as they are stealing the property of their victims.

That's part of the reason why we are the shite-storm we are when it comes to burglary and theft.

Until we adopt protections of property laws similar to Texas, this will only get worse.

Swiping a wallet doesn’t justify his death. If he had a gun or another weapon, sure, he would have dug his own grave. But, the guy should rightfully be charged with his death. Unless he carries only cash, anything else can be solved with a few phone calls.
