If you have psychological issues, I hope you listen to your wife. If not, grow a set and realize that one of the most important responsibilities of a man is to provide for, and protect his family. Your wife may not understand, appreciate, or approve of how you choose to do that, but that is to be expected.
If it really is a dealbreaker issue for her, you have deeper issues than buying a handgun.
