re: What advice would you give someone who is settling in Cenla
Posted by adavis on 6/15/24 at 8:56 pm
If you grew up there, you already know what the area offers. So the best advice I can give is to spend all your spare money traveling to other areas. That goes for anywhere. And backyards are really important. They take away from the mundane existence of an enclosed space. A house is a house, regard...

Imagine having 6 CWS titles when you have none. And I know this isn’t an LSU thread, but imagine having 7 when you have none. And imagine having your best season in history being knocked out by Ben McDonald and LSU...
Again, you are failing to see the fallacy in your logic.
I see that I am flawed- we all are. I don’t claim to be 100% right, but I claim to know that. Again, the absolutes are that Jesus died for our sins and he commanded us to love others. Everything else is grey. I don’t try to p...

Yeah, chemo is “playing God” by your definition. It prolongs your life that God had designed to end sooner. Or… God gave us science and the ability to use it for good things. ...

Then go to the inner cities and witness to those kids. Those born “naturally” and equally forgotten by those who created them by mistake. Those naturally abandoned by their natural creators. ...
re: Southern Baptist Convention: IVF is a sin
Posted by adavis on 6/12/24 at 8:26 pm
There are so many things that are “not natural” by God’s original design. But we use them daily. Things as simple as aluminum, plastic, and the electronics used to produce the phone or computer you used to post your criticism of unnatural things. Things like pasteurization, vaccines, and advancement...
re: Southern Baptist Convention: IVF is a sin

When you get into adopting personal interpretations of scripture as doctrine, you lose congregation members and push people away from Christianity. As Christians, we should be unapologetic in absolute truths- Jesus died for your sins and directed us to love others. God speaks to us directly-some peo...

re: Does all dental insurance suck?

I guess it just depends on your cost and how much you use it. We have Aetna through my work and pay $17 per month. It covers two cleanings/x-rays per year and has a $50 deductible per person ($150 max for a family of four). Covers 80% on fillings and such and 50% on crowns, root canals, etc. also ha...
