I think there’s more to this story than what OP is saying. I’d be mad if a roommate had people over and played loud music 2 nights in a row without talking about it beforehand. Maybe the guests trashed the apartment or kept him up when he had work. What if this was a semi-regular thing? The roommate was definitely wrong to make the threat about the gun and I’m curious whether the roommate is so unstable that 2 parties and a missing coat were all that was needed to push him over the edge.

Move out immediately, make a police report, notify apartment management and tell them that you are willing to work on a solution that’s fair and beneficial to you and the apt management.
