Maybe be more considerate of the person you live with. If you're going to have a kick back, just let him know before hand. Doesn't seem that ridiculous of a request to be honest.

It’s a valid question. I come from a different time. It’s been over 25 years since I’ve had a roommate. Back then, pretty much all issues such as this would have been handled by raping the roommate and/or Their parents. It’s a generational thing, I guess.
