Most drivers don’t know what the hell yield actually means and completely ignore the sign, so I disagree with you completely.

Traffic lights should have same rules as stop signs when there is no cross traffic

Funny thing about yield signs. I see too many people come to a stop at them.

One thing that I rarely see in LA that I see in other states is the flashing yellow left turn arrow. I really wish we'd use that more here.

The solution is more yield signs. Drivers don't see them often enough.

People here can’t figure out roundabouts but you want a four way stop to be all yields?

No. When an alarming amount of people are not capable of effectively navigate a four-way stop, taking away stop signs is not a good idea.

I think the issue isn't the sign, but the people. Most people should be replaced with better drivers.

If no one else is around, they are yield signs

Left turn only with arrow pisses me off.

I have gotten one ticket in the past 15 years and it was doing this in my own neighborhood

I did everything but come to a rock back stop. I probably slowed to 1mph and there was nobody else around. I told my wife about it and she got a ticket at the same stop sign the next day.

That’s where round-a-bouts come into play.

I've had 2 tickets in the last 30 years. One for a California stop, just like you described. The other was for doing 145 on an empty highway (except for the sheriff hiding). I deserved the second one. The other - not so much.

They need to stop using stop signs to try to slow down drivers. That’s not what a stop sign is for. Neighborhoods petition to get useless stop signs in random places that don’t need them because they claim people are speeding.

If they are speeding, ticket them. That’s how it works.

I was in a neighborhood the other day with a street intersecting a second street perpendicular (a T). There’s 3 ways to turn: left or right (A), right only (B), and left only (C).

A and B had stop signs. C did not. Why would a left turn not have a stop sign but the right turn does? The right turn car has to stop for the left turn car.

Someone turning left on a green light almost never yields to the person across the intersection who is turning right on a green light.

Majority of stop signs = yield to me. Especially four way stops

It can be confusing sometimes.

We have a lot of light intersections with a wide right turn that is a separate shorter lane with a yield sign. Does that mean always yield or only yield on red?
