That does sound odd. Only thing that makes sense if the lane turning left tends to have a much higher rate of traffic. And they want to keep that lane moving to not cause a backup.
There is an odd T shape intersection near shimmy shack in harrahan. I think one has a stop, one has a yield and the other has nothing.

When the lights at an intersection flash yellow, people don’t even understand that and come to a complete stop.

How about replacing all road signs, especially speed limit signs. with signs that simply say Garage Sale, with an arrow?

Agree 100%. I hate sitting at a red light with no one going through the intersection.
Unfortunately, your average driver is a retard and wouldn't understand how this rule would work.

After 10PM most lights should switch to a flashing yellow on the major and flashing red on the minor road.
It takes 10 minutes to go 2 miles on 190 in Mandeville at 11PM since you stop at every light with no other driver in sight.
