As long as "reform" like this is done at a small enough scale (i.e. one metro), the sooner this nonsense gets piloted the sooner it can be eradicated from public discourse for all time.

This will fail, then they’ll hire a Muslim based force much like I think NYC has that “patrols” certain areas.

Yep.

City proper with business and entertainment districts will lose police. Inner city neighborhoods and projects (mostly minorities) will lose police. If crime skyrockets (it will), they’ll add in some form of police with a new title. When the experiment fails, they’ll blame whites, conservatives, state government, and Republicans at the federal level for not supporting them enough.

Oh and let’s not forget that when they institute this new reformed non-police organization, the majority of the money will go to administrators and supervisors who just so happen to have connections to the city councilmen who implement everything.

I’m not very clear on it, but there’s something in their city or state charter that allows the MPD and Police Union to operate somewhat independent from city leadership. Perhaps the only way for the city to work around the absolutely corrupt union is to dissolve the department.

Sounds like a system designed by Democrats. Let the union run things.

Well at least they let the rioters burn down 2 of their precincts last week, so less dismantling for them to do now
