Something also not discussed much in regards to this topic is demographics. Boomers are 90% white while millennials are about 50%. Millennials are more diverse with different values, culture, aspirations, and a significant portion are only 2nd generation Americans so their families have little accumulated wealth or connections to benefit from

What, you mean like America during the late 19th and early 20th century?

What is hoarding money? Saving? What's wrong with that?

A lot of people are getting held up on the hoarding thing.

I'm pretty sure the "hoarding" that's being referenced is the hoarding of jobs, because most boomers have no shot at retirement and will have to work until they are dead. Could also be the hoarding of money in the sense that output and profits have gone insano the last couple decades whereas wages for employees have had very modest gains over the same time period.

yes it is. you can be peanut butter and jelly all you want that boomers had it easier, but if your only effort to stop the boomer cycle is saying "OK boomer" while you push their values (like over-valuing living in cities and over-educating yourself in ways boomers deemed non-economic) then you bear responsibility

You just don't understand, man.

On the real, great post

Doubtful. This is the generation that takes everything they hear on CNN or Fox News and immediately posts it all Facebook without spending 2 minutes considering how outlandish and full of shite it is.

But when college costs have grown at a rate much high than wage growth, then it becomes an issue. Same with housing.

I wonder what generational group has been dominating US politics for the past 40 years...

They aren’t more educated, they’re more credentialed. No higher education program besides MD and DO actually teaches a fricking thing

So much fail in this thread...

A simple examination of demographics would reveal that the worm will soon turn for anyone that is an employee. In many cases, it already has.

Don't blame employers when you show up with your Poli Sci or Fine Arts degree; we're in business to make money, not coddle your candy arse.
