That mayor wouldn’t like me. I also don’t like him, so it’s mutual.

I would like to invite him over to my house and have home personally ask my wife raise our thermostat to 78 degrees.

Wait until they try to pull that with southern women.

Asking for those up north....
78 degrees indoors with a low humidity is a big difference between 78 degrees indoors here in the summer South. Correct?

Really isn't that bad so long as you have some fans running for airflow.

You can sleep with the thermostat set at 78 degrees in hot weather?

frick that shite. Optimal sleeping temperature is between 68-72 degrees. Anything warmer than that and your body won't enter the deeper levels of sleep you need to feel rested.

Sounds like he is trying to avoid any massive electrical outages. I don’t see much wrong with this message.

While his office is probably set at 65.

People focus way too much on temperature and way too little on airflow. 78F becomes possible with fans. But nobody ever promotes that.

Well, if that same political party hadn't been stupidly fighting a clean, cheap source of energy for the last 50 years maybe power shortages wouldn't be an issue.

There quite a few boot licking commies in this thread who will do what their new Muslim overlord tells them to do. Put your AC on 78 comrades, the rest of us real Americans will do what we want.

I guess it makes sense in a city with what? 6 million people? But isn't it really hot there for like a month and a half? I would think that if you say 78 degrees more people are less likely to ignore it, but if you say 76, it would be more manageable and it would be better to have a lot more people running at 76 than a lot less people running at 78?

You realize every time we have high heat issues in the south, they ask the same, right?

Is this supposed to be some kind of gotcha?
