New Orleans is a sh*t hole. If you want New Orleans entertainment watch the First 48.

If there was two brain cells behind the development, they’d build something to support the port coming to chalmette.

I’ve been told this was the plan for the project, which is why I’m surprised to see these renderings.

I think they’re floating these to appease the community, then they’ll say they can’t get funding and ultimately set it up as a massive terminal operation.

I know Brees is part of a group that will be doing a terminal project in the east as well.

The fact that we have thousands of people like Stella Adams in this country with that background who make a living this way is pathetic. And the federal government has tons of them

I GUARANTEE you that this developer is not risking 1 penny of her money. This is a government program and funds will be squandered & embezzled. The developer doesn’t care if it is successful because the focus will be about landmark payments. So much so, that you will see several politicians like destroya wanting to be on the development team.

The funds will dry up long before this project is completed; however, the stolen funds will be tucked away while the project goes belly up. At that point, it will be auctioned off to a new developer with a spin off master plan. ….and so on and so on. Rinse and repeat.

I hate to ruin the ending, but I’ve seen this movie before and familiar with the cast.

Thank goodness it looks like this project won’t have a beginning.

Based on the rising crime rate, a prison would draw more visitors, but the DA won’t prosecute any criminals, so probably not a good investment at this time.

How is that place doing? Serious question, I don't live there anymore. Isn't it owned by Ryan Theriot?

Some bank going to lose some serious money investing in this.

Over or under in dollar value how much building products will be stolen off this project?

I don't see soccer moms brining their kids to this area.

But no dirt has been turned at the site, and many major hurdles remain. Financing still needs to be secured, and no tenants have been signed. Those are to come over the next year, Bayou Phoenix says.

The 99-year-lease has not yet been signed, and it is contingent on the authority board’s approval of the master plan. The board next meets on April 10, though the master plan is not currently on the agenda.

You think the hotels and restaurants off Read, Bullard, and Little Woods hold appeal for the teams to stay.

Wow. I hope all of that extra traffic from folks dying to get there doesn’t slow down the speed on the Nola autobahn when one is trying to drive through there as fast as they can. NOPD ever decides to ticket anyone, fear for your life is a good defense.

There's a ton, a ton, of money to be made investing in youth sports right now. Now, it has to be a nice facility and safe... but there's plenty of baws and bawettes out there who would spend $50/day on a pass that allows them to watch Jaxxxxxxxxxson play games at 830 and 300, and to swim in between games.

Traction is a private training facility. Big difference. That is not what is being proposed here.
