Really, the group that included Drew Brees had a very boring and potentially successful proposal for a distribution center and light industrial. That totally could have worked here.

So any private industry claiming to invest in amateur sports fields is either dumb, or a grifter.

Traction would like a word with you.

There's a ton, a ton, of money to be made investing in youth sports right now. Now, it has to be a nice facility and safe... but there's plenty of baws and bawettes out there who would spend $50/day on a pass that allows them to watch Jaxxxxxxxxxson play games at 830 and 300, and to swim in between games.

This seems idiotic, but I wish Jefferson Parish would try and redevelop the zephyr field property into some kind of community athletic facility - basketball courts, ice rink, climbing gym - something that actually improves the lives of the residents of Jefferson parish rather than just turn it over to another single tenant/single use sports field.

Lasalle is a mess. The theater, well, books could be written about that disaster.

Nah, keep JP out of this.

Breaking News...

Brett: "Wait, the check cleared? Ah, ok. (turns to camera) This is a GREAT opportunity and I fully support it!"

Nothing will happen unless the developers grease LaToya’s campaign fund.
Every day there will be broken windows in the parking lot.

Depopulation and negative growth is the best strategy for such a poorly run city like New Orleans.

Clearing land at abandon properties and returning to nature should be done at every opportunity.

Common sense tell you that if you can`t properly maintain the population and infrastructure that is present now, then what sense does it make to increase population and infrastructure.

No way this actually gets built. If you have $500,000,000 to spend you aren’t building this in the East on a dilapidated piece of property that hasn’t been occupied for 18 years

Even the most woke bank in the US isn’t financing this doomed development.

A water park in New Orleans East would be a daycare for the urban yutes in the area during the summer.

There’s a population that will destroy it in short order.
