Keep in mind that this is the peak and only for about a 3-4 week period around January. Well worth it not to be dark at 4:30 PM

This makes waking up to go duck hunting an hour easier. I love it.

Exactly, someone needs to post sunset in winter during standard time. It’s awful.

I agree. Who cares how dark it is when you leave for work. I care more about how much light is left when I get home.

It’s not even fall yet, and the DST babies are already cryin’.

Which would prevent some of us from getting in a quick pre-work hunt.
It’s still a trade I’m willing to make.

I think school hours should be rolled back an hour. I think grade school and middle school kids walking to school or waiting at a bus stop in the dark is a bad idea.

If you want to see daylight then wake your lazy arse up, and leave the clock where it belongs at standard time.

I support no time change, but they should have made standard time permanent.

Sunrise time should weigh more than sunset.

Or we could standardize work and school schedules starting an hour earlier.

Working from 7-3 instead of 8-4 gives the same amount of free daylight evening hours as permanent DST.

The good thing is that Trump could easily do this for federal employees through an executive order. Once federal employees are on this schedule most states and then businesses would likely follow eventually.

They tried permanent daylight savings in the 70s and it was wildly unpopular because people realized that their kids would waiting for busses in the dark for most of the year. I have a feeling this will only last a year or two until cities up against the western edges of the time zones like Atlanta, Cleveland/Columbus, Louisville, Amarillo, Lubbock, Salt Lake, and all along the west coast will start screaming about that again.

From the long arse pick up and drop off lines I see at schools, I am under the impression that less than 20% of kids ride the school bus these days.

Why do we do this dance every year. The senate never passes it.

Yep and they wrapped it into the SAVE Act bill which is going to get shot down in the Senate so this idea will die along with that.

More time zones with 30 minute intervals would solve the bitching

They need to redraw the time zones lines too.

I knew a guy who his phone would change times depending on if he was in the front yard or the back yard.

That’s gotta be annoying.
