Be glad it’s just your box blind. I live in a log cabin that isn’t exactly air-tight. Asian beetles invade our house this time of year, every year.

Glad you like it. I really like everyone’s spin on it. Different crusts, toppings, etc…. I feel like you could even use the actual filling as a dip if you didn’t freeze it. Maybe dip it with graham cracker sticks or something similar.

You can take it straight out of the freezer and cut it and serve if you’d like. Some keep them in the fridge and serve that way. Either is fine, just depends on the consistency you want.

As soon as I turned 45 (just 5 months ago), almost to the day, I needed readers. I can still read and see my phone with out them, but it’s so much easier with them.

I also make something similar to this called “firecrackers”. I’ve used saltines, ritz, club, wheat thins, and a mixture of them all. I also make a version with mini crackers such as mini-club, oyster, white cheddar cheese-its. They go fast.
• Crackers of your choice
• 1 cup canola oil
• 1 packet of dry ranch dressing
• Crushed red pepper flakes to taste (normally 1-3 tsp)
Fill a gallon glass jar with crackers of your choice- leaving some wiggle room at the top (ritz, captains wafers, saltines, wheat thins, triscuit, etc).
In a measuring cup mix oil and dry ingredients.
Pour oil mixture over and around the crackers evenly.
Secure lid on jar.
Gently “roll” (don’t shake) jar in all directions until oil mixture is absorbed/coated on crackers

Seasoned Pretzels
Posted by iwantacooler on 12/13/25 at 1:59 pm
These seasoned pretzels are great for a snack at tailgates, parties, for gift giving, or just to have around the house. We always get compliments when making them and a batch never lasts long. I’m sure you can change the seasoning to fit your tastes, but this is how we make them.
Ingredients:
1 bag (15oz) of pretzels. We like mini twists.
1 ranch packet
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1.5 teaspoon garlic salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil
Pour the pretzels in a gallon ziploc bag, suitable size Tupperware container, or a bowl with a snug fitting lid. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl or cup and pour over the pretzels. Shake the container (or massage ziploc bag) to distribute the seasoning equally.
Let sit for 24 hours so the seasoning has time to soak into the pretzels. During this time be sure to “massage” your bag or shake your container several times to ensure even distribution of seasoning over the pretzels.
My daughter (underage you pervs) is making these to sell for money to buy Christmas gifts.

re: Your go to Piccadilly meal

My grandparents used to love going to Piccadilly and I have fond memories of eating there with them as a kid. When my grandfather was dying of cancer he always wanted the baked chicken (takeout) from there. The last meal we ever shared together came from the Piccadilly on Louisville in Monroe.
