TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Too much of a good thing is a bad thing, and a patient at Tampa General Hospital found that out the hard way when he overloaded on cheese and fats for his “carnivore diet.”
An article published in JAMA Cardiology said a man in his 40s had been suffering from “yellowish nodules” on his palms, soles, and elbows after going on a carnivore diet for about eight months.

Thanks. I just threw up in my mouth.

Maybe he wants his arteries to be battle tested for when he gets older.

Why doesn't he just admit that he uses butter to fap and that's why his hands are covered with it? Sure, nobody likes to admit what he's done, but, tell the truth, man.

These fricking idiots that eat 2 steaks and half a dozen eggs drowned in butter because ‘it’s the healthiest meal you can eat’ give the carnivore diet a bad name. I think it’s probably a bad idea long term, but it’s definitely bad in such excess.
ETA: It's a bad idea to consume that much protein long term unless your daily workout routine warrants such a high protein diet, which 90%+ of us (myself included) do not fall into this category. The carnivore diet is a good one and definitely has it's benefits, but not always in those quantities.

I don’t get it - he was following the diet to a T!

Question for the calories in calories out fanatics out there.. how did he lose weight consuming nearly 10-12k of calories per day?
Also this has been ripped to shreds.

This #carnivorediet case report @JAMACardio
is an embarrassment. The entire report is a few sentences with reference to a "man in his 40s" (no other medical history, family history, genetic history or other pertinent details) who was purportedly eating 6-9 pounds of cheese, butter and beef daily, and losing weight. This is actually the entire report. I believe this patient has xanthelasmas. His phenotype is quite obvious. But if you want any self-respecting intellectual to take this report seriously it needs some more details... or at least to be plausible.

I'm calling fake picture. That's not how veins run through hands.

Why is it in the creases of his hands? Figured it be in the blood vessels.
