We will see when they update the models after these numbers. The current model had the peak at April 10th but that is basically the median of the peak range.

Can they send her home with hospice care? At least that way the family can be there?

They said no and not really sure what else we can do....she has 3 sons, one who is FIL that can all be there in a drop of a dime....to make matters even worse, my sister in law had a baby yesterday and none of the family was able to be there or see the baby..not even in the waiting room.

If they can do it in 2 min why would they also be looking at one that does it in 5 minutes?
ETA: we just had a facility test someone positive and they said their test only takes 15 minutes.

Only bc people who didn’t understand the time frames we were working with kept spouting off timeframes that were too short.
You need three weeks minimum before you see the effects of shelter in place. Really closer to a month.
People have been ranting and raving in Italy threads for the past two weeks about how quarantines don’t work bc their numbers kept increasing and then not decreasing. Those of us who understood how this works have consistently said you have to wait about a month.
Italy went into lockdown on March 8, at least in the Lombardy region. It’s been almost a month. Only in the past couple of days have you seen their numbers consistently decline across the board. That’s the timeframe. Louisiana has about two more weeks to go
