The BRPD officer’s ex-wife gave a statement today supporting the officer. Ard made that up to protect his cover up.

Nak interviewed him and he denied ever telling Ard that and said that Ard was a liar. The interview is on the WBRZ site.

I bet you a million dollars Ard went to Denny and said "hey, Denny, some BRPD douche just left my office saying you climbed into your daughter's bed while she was having a sleepover and you tickled his young teenage stepdaughter" and Denny replied "lol that fricker is jelly because I'm banging his ol lady, he's just making shite up". Then the two laughed about it and started planning their next deer hunt. All these years later Ard can't remember who told him what about the affair.

Very well said. After watching this interview, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he would cover something up. The guy can't even admit to making a mistake. Instead blames the victim. It's scary that Jason Ard is a sheriff. At a minimum, he was very unprofessional during the interview.

Please tell me those are not cupcakes on the podium where Ard is standing with his deputies. If that was actually taken today them it was extremely inappropriate. True or not the sheriffs department had to hear the talk of cupcakes.
If it true the counselor wrote he felt Perkins was grooming the 13 year old, that he felt he had done it before and Ard reviewed the report, then he has to go immediately. He should do the right thing and resign.
