So using Jason Ard’s logic, if I go and sit in his office and say that your friend “The Tickle Monster” is a pervert and a doctor says he’s a predator. Then I haven’t filed a formal complaint?
Then I hit “The Tickle Monster” with a restraining order, which Ard serves, after which by law Perkins can’t carry a gun. Ard writes noting in his file?
I guess Ard’s spin is to blame the victim.
This is gross negligence at best and evil at worst. This doesn’t end well.

Not only you, as a father, but you as a FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. He's pathetic. A cop should get better treatment than the BRPD cop got when he went to Ard. Now Ard blames him for not following through. Maybe he didn't follow through because he had a minute amount of respect for his fellow law enforcement officers and just wanted to call it to Ard's attention. Maybe he thought as Sheriff, Ard would do his own little investigation to see if he had an MF'ing pervert working for him, representing his department. We all know he knew that already.

So the counselor predicted this behavior back in 2013 and it was actually within the report written 6 years ago

Pretty sure most sheriffs in the state are tight with JBE, AG Landry is decidedly NOT tight with JBE and is apparently aiming for higher office.
I would expect Landry to be looking for headlines by getting Perkins and his wife then trying to turn that into Ard.

Lot of y’all brought up the almost unlimited power of a sheriff in his parish and I agree. Fortunately I’ve never had any issues up here. I know most of them and we haven’t had nearly the scandals as down south. (Lincoln, Bienville, Union). No OT baller, just my dad worked with most of them before he passed.
