Can we get some cliff notes to bring everyone up to speed on what’s been happening for those of us without Facebook and who don’t live in LA?
Cliff notes version is Chris Nakamoto came out swinging, Ard stumbled early and never regained his footing! If he makes it all the way through the term in which he was just elected I'll be shocked! LP people want his head!

Dont forget the part where Ard attacked the step dad of the sleepover victim.

Ard: There was nothing I could do, he didn't do anything illegal to arrest him for
Nak: That cop came to you in hopes that you would address this guy doing unethical things
Ard: He didn't do anything illegal, next question.
he's going to die on this "it wasn't illegal!" hill
the OT should start a SuperPAC and just start blasting commercials and getting signs in LP going after Ard

Oh yeah, and then where he said "why didn't her mother come forward...he's not her biological parent"!

Is he really going to say a stepparent isn’t a real parent in Livingston Parish?

And that BS he said about the charges from him being from Baton Rouge which is why his office didn't know about it.
Bull fricking shite

Or the "We didnt recognize his name because they used his full 'Dennis Wallace Perkins' name and nobody knows him by that."
Then how did you know to serve his attorney?

Sheriffs have a ton of power and don't really have to answer to anyone except the voters every four years. It takes more than an embarrassing situation to get them to resign.
It really makes rethink the whole concept of the sheriff being an elected position. So many sheriffs run for reelection without any worthwhile opposition once very four years and that just enables corruption to be swept under the rug.
I really think that Sheriffs need to answer to civilian leadership like a parish president or parish council, like POTUS nominates the Attorney General and Senate confirms or rejects it.
I like the concept of an election for sheriff but it has not been practical in reality and has actually enabled corruption.

I’m not hating because my wife is a stepmother to my first son, but we prefer the term “bonus parent”

You will never see that in Louisiana in your lifetime.

He just admitted on video to two separate incidents, one involving a restraining order another involving allegations of inappropriate contact with An underage female and then the next breath said there's nothing in his personnel jacket. What a complete idiot

Both sets of statements can be true.
Just because they have gotten reports of stuff doesn’t mean they have documented shite, even if they were supposed to.
Much like how no examination of the books can be done at Grambling because there are no books kept at Grambling.

If not that verbatim, something very close. Justified by the fact that they served the attorney.

Don't forget Ard had to initially vouch for him to be hired in the first place, he was red flagged and labeled as a high risk hire
