Actually…. If all you make it there for is the consecration and communion then you have participated at Mass

My son calls it the Judas shuffle. On Easter it is the twice a year crowd.

Trashy is going for the holidays and not the rest of the year.
I know its a horrible thing to say, but I wish they took attendance at mass and the holiday masses be reserved for people with enough participation the rest of the year

I was taught if you get to mass after the priest walks to the altar, or before he dismisses the faithful (i.e., right after communion), you haven’t fully done mass. So it doesn’t count ??

Get the before the cross is walked in and leave after the cross is walked out.
Happy Easter

Do you guys (Christians/Catholics) realize how much you argue with each other, and virtue signal with each other, every single holiday?

They're leaving early to beat the line at the Golden Corral.

Some Catholic churches are closing or sharing duties with other churches combining.
The most beautiful church I have seen on this side of the pond. OL Fatima combined with St Anns.
There aren't enough priests lectors etc etc...
A lot go to assemblies of God and bash Catholics from the pulpit..

I will do it if the priest has been dicking around all mass and it’s already at or near the hour.
But yeah it’s trashy I admit.

Jesus wouldn't like this.

The twice a year crowd always intrigues me. If you don’t attend church regularly then what makes people go on Christmas and Easter?

Fully depends on how long winded/slow the priest is.

Same here. What compels them to come to mass on these days if they’re fine not coming the other 50 weeks. Do they think that those that attend regularly can’t see right through the charade?
Saw a guy walking to a pew this morning with a large coffee in his hand and laughed.

People with loud toddlers or babies are immune from criticism here to me.

Im just curious
Why do you choose to only go once a week?

It is tacky but mass was over an hour and a half today. I couldn’t claim those that left after communion.
