What turning point USA was doing was showing the younger generation how to think not what to think. That is the difference and it is huge. When you give someone the moral compass and the ability to think for themselves good will always win. When you have the ability to tell someone how to think and not think for themselves, then you control that person or people.

re: Is child care/daycare innately expensive? What can society do to reduce *cost* of it?

Child care and raising our children is my family’s top priority. My wife stays home and we homeschool
re: How many on this forum over 50 thought the US would be facing collapse today?

Relax… God is in charge. Wake up every morning with the intention of doing His will and not yours, and the rest will take care of itself. If you do that, there is no way to lose no matter what happens.
re: Trump to announce $12 billion aid package to farmers

It has been caused by years of failed ag policy, and past administrations entering into trade agreements with other countries with only the US playing by the rules and not holding the others accountable. Agriculture goods and specifically rice is used for political leverage by many many other countries and specifically Asian. For them, Rice is the equivalent to our dollar or our oil supply

re: Do young people have it harder today? Did Boomers ruin everything?
Posted by Bowstring1 on 12/7/25 at 7:15 am to Penrod
Young people have it much easier! Unfortunately as a whole, they don’t know how to do without for a while! There is so much opportunity out there for any young person who is willing to work and put in effort. Just talked to anyone who is trying to employ or hire the younger generation. It doesn’t matter what you offer them in terms of pay, they just don’t want to put in the effort and want to start at the top. They are too quick to find a reason to complain about things just being too hard!

There is not another major agriculture producing country in the world that is held to higher standards or environmentally regulated like the US agriculture industry.

IMO, music is not music if a human is not singing are playing the music. If it is generated by anything other than a human, it is simply just a sound.

re: We Went to Arkansas. The Farm Crisis Will Shock You

For the most part, I agree with you. But you need to look a little bit further. In all reality, when less than 1% of the population is produces the food and fiber for a country and the price of that same food and fiber does not go up in relation with the other cost of living that I have to ask you who is really subsidized? Is it the farmer or the American Consumer? Reality is that 99% of the people in this country work jobs that are not necessary because one percent of the people are!
