For the most part, think of it like this, if the water touches the ground and then enters the home, you probably won't have coverage. If the water enters from above (roof, windows, etc.) you will typcially have coverage

And you will have a huge fight on your hands trying to get the insurance company you need to cover you to accept the version of events that would lead to coverage. Good luck.

The majority of tornado warnings don't have an actual tornado. They issue them because the radar shows it might be one.

G Vice yes we are ... 2 generators, all boarded up, water, ice, food, gas for the grills.

No little kids to worry about -- no trees that can fall on the house.

Tell your mom hi for me please!!! And y'all stay safe. I hope that their home is ok.

Does it make Cat 5 status? I know devastation is the same from a Cat 4 to a Cat 5. Just wondering if we will see at storm come in at 156+ MPH.

I do, do you? No longer does a tornado warning mean a tornado has been spotted or verified, simply that there is radar evidence that one might be there

How many homes will “catch fire” in 2-3 days? Didn’t a group of police/ fireman’s homes catch fire after Sandy? Always seems to be a couple.

Well, that’s pretty self explanatory, but let’s talk about how we got here:
- Texas voted for a Republican Governor--
- Louisiana voted for a Democrat Governor

Texas Gov- Getting it done.
Louisiana - Let's hold a conference and talk about it.

The hard part is proving it to State Farm.

If you are riding it out in harms way its a good idea to take pics before and during the storm. If water is coming through the ceiling, walls etc. take pics and video. The insurance companies will be sending their catastrophe teams that have no connection to you, your agent, etc. They are documenting and moving on to the next claim.
