This storm surge they are pimping out on TV. I haven't watched any media beside tropical Tidbits and this board and they didn't mention the insanity of 30 Mile's north.
i think it’s also because they are counting miles of mostly at marsh as being “land”
so while it is technically X amount of miles from the coast, a huge amount is actually already water but being counted as land distance.

You know how people die?
This is how people die.
Look, I hate for people to lose someone but I have no remorse for these people.

That tornado on Easter went by like 50 feet from the school radar. You can't get much luckier than that when submitting your tornado research proposal.

Brett Adair says it could sustain at 165 and compares it to Camille

I’m gone, and everything is insured. I was just talking about how I don’t know how I feel about starting over in LC if that’s the case.

The tornados are the almost more scary because you can be safe from the worst part of the wind and then have a random twister wreck shite out of nowhere.

I hope someone is able to recover their footage.
For real! My buddy had security footage at his camp in Big Lake for Rita. The water rise was stupid. You just can't image it until you see it.
