Alright stupid question but is the storm surge literally just a wall of water? A big wave that hits at once or is it a gradual rise of water?

the comparison always made is a tub filling up

gradual rise. In some of the coastal live streams you can already see the water coming up

We sure that isn’t Brett again? Haha.

I’m watching his stream. I bet he learned his lesson

In Mexico Beach I remember us all watching him cross that bridge and down into the low areas. We're like, stupid, turn around! then, the moron says "Hey, I'll just take a right into this little neighborhood... what can happen (paraphrasing)

Then the dummy couldn't get our because of wires on the road. Then, back to the house and watched his ride float away. Amazing stuff. Stupid stuff.

Jeff is so gay. He says the surge is almost to him. It's only risen 2 feet so far at Calcasieu Pass.

Tornado warned storm in EBR South of I10/Perkins Rd just went past my house. Definite rotation in the rain and wind. Probably 40-50 mph winds.

#HurricaneLaura's maximum winds have increased by 65 mph in 24 hours (from 75 mph to 140 mph). That's the fastest 24-hr wind intensification for an Atlantic tropical cyclone since #Hurricane Maria in 2017.

This reminds me so much of the guy arguing tooth and nail that the one storm (Irma maybe?) was gonna hit Louisiana and not ride up the Atlantic coast like was being predicted by LITERALLY EVERYTHING because of “basic triangle math”
