Putin's attempts to link the terrorist attack in Moscow to Ukraine are a "huge disgrace," says Czechia Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky
Even as Putin blamed Islamists for the attack, he suggested it was linked to a decade of hostility between Russia and the West over Ukraine, the Czechia foreign minister says.
"Almost immediately they were able to use this for their propaganda purposes," Lipavsky said.
The minister said Putin is holding out until the US election in November, hoping that Trump will be re-elected. Until then, it should not be assumed that Russia's military actions will abate.
"He believes that this will probably create a more favorable position for him... And this is a clear indication for us that he will definitely not back down before the end of this year," the Czech foreign minister said.

Director of the Russian FSB Bortnikov made several statements about the terrorist attack in "Crocus"
- The terrorist threat in Russia persists. The terrorist attack in Crocus was necessary for Western security services and Ukraine to undermine the situation in the country.
- The US passed general information about the possibility of terrorist attacks, and Russia took this into account.
- The head of Ukrainian intelligence Budanov may become a legitimate target for the Russian military. The Security Service of Ukraine should be recognized as a terrorist organization.
- The customer of the terrorist attack at Crocus has not yet been identified.
- There will be retaliatory measures after the terrorist attack.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 26 March 2024
Recruiting adverts have been posted for the new 44th Army Corps in Luga, in the newly-established Leningrad Military District. Russia is making efforts to expand its forces in the north-west of the country, as most of its forces remain dedicated to operations in Ukraine.
Russia will almost certainly have to decide whether new units such as the 44th Army Corps remain in their garrison locations once established, or if they are transferred to operations in Ukraine to maintain combat power there. Newly established units have previously been immediately committed to Ukraine, and it is almost certain that the need to sustain operations is hampering Russia's wider force expansion ambitions.

Hmmm... I wonder if this:

is connected to this dismissal..

Even if you buy what Russia is saying hook line and sinker, the answer is no. It's a different person then who Russia is blaming

That's pretty interesting, seems like it works to some extent.

Commander-in-Chief of the US Air Force in Europe James Hecker explained how the Ukrainian Shahed detection system works.
8 thousand phones with a microphone were attached to towers across Ukraine, which makes it possible to track the direction and speed of drones. Also, a special person monitors the screen for possible raids.
And then they are shot down by anti-aircraft artillery, which is cheaper than with Patriots.

I'm beyond confused why Lukashenko would go on record like this but here we are

??lukashenko questioned putin's claim that a window on the border with Ukraine had been "prepared in advance" for the Crocus City Hall terrorists.
He said that from the first minutes of reports of the terrorist attack in Belarus, local special services began to act, and the terrorists "saw this" and "turned around and went to the Ukrainian-russian border."
According to Lukashenko, the terrorists initially planned to leave russia for Belarus.

It's really sad to think that tens of thousands more men will die ... for nothing.

Waiting on confirmation, but this analysis of photos taken before and during the Crocus attack claims to show a number of Russian FSB agents in the theater's crowd before and during the attack. They sat calmly and some locked doors to prevent members of the audience escaping. Then they allowed the attackers to walk out the front door, get in their car (which had been parked in front the whole time) and followed them to the forest where they arrested them.
Déjà vu anyone?

I wouldn't be too surprised if this is true given Putin's past false flags. Deep fakes are too easy to do these days to believe a photograph though.

Not even a month but there’s 1.5 million shells coming at different stages throughout this year. The Czechs really stepped up and saved Ukraine with their artillery shell deal with non NATO countries. The first 300,000 shells should be in their hands in a couple weeks with the rest coming this summer and fall. That gives them about 5,000 shells per day.

I assume they're making a substantial number of their own shells. Plus I assume we will get some sort of deal done through Congress at some point in the next 90 days or so

quote:No doubt. Also of interest is the origin of these shells. As the country suppling them wishes to remain anonymous and it has been established that a certain percentage of these shells are 152mm and 120mm Soviet/Russian made, it points to a former Russian ally. Or at least business partner.

Another disappointment for the Kremlin.

Lukashenko would be wise to not go any higher than the ground floor of any building he is in ever again.
