The UKucks will write a blank check for a country that will literally never be strategically important for us

That’s what Putin is really afraid of.

Before we laugh you off for saying this, I thought it would be fun to give you a chance to explain and defend.
So, in what way specifically do you think Russia is in better shape financially than the USA?
Current Account Status?
GDP Size? GDP Growth?
Purchasing Power?
Demographic Trend?
Please explain and use data. The floor is yours.

Imagine if Russia or China was meddling in Mexico like that.
Are you saying they aren't?
Look at Nicaragua and Cuba for very public displays of them doing it.

Things are cheap in a nation where medium income is equivalent to $300 per month. Also, a nation not known for anyone buying its shoddy manufactured products.

Because neither party is willing to address the skyrocketing costs of Social Security and Medicare.
Biden's plan to tax the rich won't fix that. Neither will Trump's plan to raise tariffs on products from China.
Ukraine spending is pocket change compared to the financial problems with Social Security and Medicare. It's the cost of a latte compared to the cost of a new car.
The only solution is to raise the eligibility age for Social Security and Medicare, but neither party is willing to consider that.

Declining production in China as it implodes financially. Their debt makes the US debt look like borrowing from a child's piggy bank

Russia is going to go broke eventually. They cannot keep this up indefinitely. The West, on the other hand, CAN afford to continue to support Ukraine. The economics of the long war do not work for Russia, unless the West quits supporting Ukraine.
When we re-elect Trump this November he will force a settlement and this will end by April 2025.

RINO's and Democrats have been fiscally irresponsible for 20 years. Need another Newt leading the House.

Newt paid companies to shutdown manufacturing if the called it mothballed and they got paid millions of dollars per year for 5 years.
Try harder, your ideas are losing.

ISW Update

Key Takeaways:
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated that a ceasefire in Ukraine would allow Russia to rebuild its forces and means for future offensive operations, as Russia previously did following the start of Russia’s 2014 invasion.
Some Russian forces may have improved their tactical capabilities and leveraged limited tactical surprise during the final weeks of the Russian effort to seize Avdiivka, suggesting that select elements of the Russian military may have internalized tactical adaptations from conducting offensive operations in Ukraine.
Ukrainian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk stated on March 8 that Ukrainian forces are regularly targeting Russian fighter aircraft.
Ukraine’s European partners continue efforts to send additional aid and materiel to Ukraine.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors approved a resolution calling for Russia’s withdrawal from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), undermining Russian efforts to use the IAEA and other international organizations to legitimize its occupation of the plant.
Ukrainian efforts to encourage women to serve in the Ukrainian armed forces continues allowing Ukraine to tap into a wider mobilization base for its war effort.
Russian information space actors are intensifying their focus on covering recent events surrounding the governor of the pro-Russian Moldovan autonomous region Gagauzia, Yevgenia Gutsul, and are amplifying Kremlin narratives aimed at destabilizing Moldova to a wider audience.
A recent Russian state-run poll suggests that the Kremlin aims for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s predetermined “support level” to be around 80 percent in the upcoming March 17 presidential election in an effort to portray Putin as legitimately popular and use the March election to legitimize Putin’s next term.
Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka amid continued positional engagements along the entire line of contact on March 8.
BBC Russian Service and Russian opposition outlet Mediazona published a joint report on March 8 that at least 46,678 Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, including at least 1,555 confirmed killed in the past two weeks.
Unspecified actors, likely Ukrainian partisans, assassinated a Russian occupation official in occupied Berdyansk, Kherson Oblast on March 6.

How come you guys never post the actual news.....
But hey ukraine blew up a PT boat.....
quote:
Russian troops continued a relentless march in eastern Ukraine for a third straight week, giving defenders no respite since seizing Avdiivka on February 17.
Geolocated footage on February 29 showed Russian troops had advanced 5km (3 miles) west of Avdiivka to the outskirts of Orlivka and Berdychi.

And on another front:
Now ask yourself, do you think its a good idea to toss another 60 billion into this rout??
Its over and they need to come to the table, tell Russia to stop where they are and call it a day.
quote:
It was a similar story west of Bakhmut, another city in Donetsk, which Russian forces captured in May.
Ukrainian forces said on Sunday that they were fighting fierce battles to hold onto Ivanivske, a village 2km (1.2 miles) west of Bakhmut. Geolocated footage showed Russian troops making their way into the village centre that day.
