quote:To add to this, the tipping point in creating serious political unrest in Russia will be reached with one thing - the Ukrainians taking Crimea. No Crimea, no unrest.
Further distract Russia by stoking the fires of political unrest...
As Putin is so invested in the taking of Crimea and has constantly associated his name with this act, its loss would be seen as an irreparable, personal weakness. And we know what perceived weakness causes in an autocracy. Never forget Prigozsin and his march on Moscow.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 06 March 2024
On 5 March 2024, Ukraine's Military Intelligence (HUR) stated they had attacked and sunk the Russian BYKOV-class patrol ship SERGEI KOTOV, close to the Kerch Straits in the eastern Black Sea. HUR stated the attack on the SERGEI KOTOV used 'Magura V5' maritime uncrewed surface vehicles (USV); the same type of USVs used in the 14 February 2024 attack on the Russian Landing Ship, TSEZAR KUNIKOV.
The SERGEI KOTOV only commissioned into the Black Sea Fleet in July 2022. It had been previously targeted by USVs in July and September 2023, sustaining minor damage and returning to service shortly after on both occasions.
This is the third Russian Black Sea Fleet vessel sunk in the past five weeks. Likely because of Black Sea Fleet losses, on 15 February 2024, the Black Sea Fleet Commander, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, was dismissed. Ukraine continues to limit the freedom of manoeuvre of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea.

UAV attacks plant in Russia's Kursk Oblast for second time this morning
Tetiana Lozovenko, VALENTYNA ROMANENKO — Wednesday, 6 March 2024, 10:45
A drone has struck a mining and processing plant (MPP) in Russia's Kursk Oblast for the second time on the morning of 6 March. An Ukrainska Pravda source in Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has stated it was an operation by Ukrainian intelligence.
Source: Telegram channel 112; Roman Starovoit, the governor of Russia's Kursk Oblast; Ukrainska Pravda, citing its source in DIU
Details: Russian Telegram channel 112 reported at around 10:10 that a UAV had just struck the Mikhailovsky Varichev MPP in the city of Zheleznogorsk once again.
The governor of the oblast confirmed this information, claiming that there were no casualties.
Updated: Ukrainska Pravda’s source in DIU stated that the attack on the Mikhailovsky MPP in Russia's Kursk Oblast was a special operation by DIU.
Quote: "Measures are underway to take out the facilities involved in supplying the aggressor state's occupying forces."
For reference: Varichev MPP is one of the largest iron ore mining and processing firms in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Background: The plant suffered the first attack, which set fire to a fuel tank, on the morning of 6 March.
WIKI Note: Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Integrated Works/Mikhailovsky GOK[11] in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Oblast; another 20% share of the domestic iron ore market

Video from the Russian viewpoint of the naval drone attack on the Caesar Kunikov on 2/14/24

Video of the Ukrainian MAGURA V5 naval kamikaze drones attack on Caesar Kunikov from the Russian point of view.
As well as the Russian claims regarding this attack:
“The crew repelled the naval kamikaze drone attack with all available forces and means, the battle lasted 20 minutes. Of the 10 drones, four were destroyed. The fifth drone hit the ship in the stern, thereby immobilizing the ship, after which the 6, 7, 8 and 9 drones alternately hit the ship on the port side in the midship area (middle) and closer to the stern, with the aim of capsizing the ship (due to the influx of a large amount of water from one side). The ninth drone partially entered the hole made by the previous one, and detonated almost inside of the ship.
There was no way to save the ship (the list was rapidly increasing, the ship was lying on the left side). From the moment the enemy drones were discovered and the start of the battle, until the ship was completely flooded, a little more than 40 minutes passed. The crew left the ship using life rafts, without loss of personnel, and evacuated all secret documentation and part of the secret equipment with weapons. The last 10th drone monitored the dying ship until the sinking, after which the 10th drone tried to attack the accompanying tug, but was destroyed by the group on board”

Lol that was chaos from the jump. Those guys are horribly trained, if they're trained at all. All those spotlights and the only illumination they can manage is one light and the red glow from tracers?

10 drones to kill one ship? Ukraine is making a lot more than that per month. The Russians BSF is f**ked.
ETA: I hope the US Navy is paying attention because it won’t be long before Iran and its allies start sending them at USN ships.

That's brutal, but I have no doubt that it is a double edged sword. Anti-drone defenses will be in the works working feverously.

if nothing else, by the end of this, there shouldn't be any more soviet weapon platforms left in NATO countries, ans the old east bloc countries will hopefully have shipped it all to Ukraine and replace with Western made platforms.......

That's the whole MIC's plan. Have the former Eastern bloc countries by the short hairs.

Russian media and Greenwald are reporting that Russia has shot down all of the very few F35s that we have actually made and the reason we haven't seen things like the Su57 is because they are too busy manufacturing the literal 1000s that they have sold to countries like England and Germany who have all lined up to buy it in numbers

Singapore’s Minister of Defense, Ng Eng Hen, has announced that American F-35s have been actively engaged in missions over Ukraine.
I don’t believe that for one second. And even if we were to try something like that, the F-22 is better suited because it has a smaller radar signature than the F-35….
quote:
The F-35 has “a smaller radar cross-section [compared to non-stealth airplanes] due to alignment of edges, masking engine and turbine, and serration of skin panels,” according to Aero Corner. But the F-22 has a lower radar cross section compared to the F-35.

But I’m highly skeptical that we’d be sending tactical fighters over Russian, or even Ukrainian airspace either way.
