15 minute longer drive from my house vs the middle of Lafayette
You're acting like its a great distance further
No one said Kaplan and Abbeville aren't closer
They are saying LC is as about as close as Lafayette.
There will be contributions to the project made from LC. Hell, you guys don't have a port, nor have the LNG infrastructure we do to supply them with what they need to make fuel. Until they have an established pipeline feeding them, it's a given the LNG will come out of Cameron or LC
We have more workers here skilled at building something like this because we have been building massive LNG facilities for well over a decade now.

You’re not contemplating VG traffic Baw. Would add 30 min to any app, took me 50 min from S LC to Cameron this afternoon.

Lafayette is the best place to live in the state besides the north shore.

Big talk but seriously this state lacks any redeeming qualities outside
I actually feel like the state could go one of two ways and whatever way it goes it will go deep into it. It could be very prosperous, but the state politics will likely send it the other way... But more than likely everything will continue as.. business as usual.

Gulf Hwy to 384, 27, 82

PJ meetings on YouTube can quite be quite entertaining.

It's also a better road system from LC. More stop signs and turns from Lafayette

I am from Lafayette(native). This is great to hear. We were in stagnation mode for a while
Oh you sweet summer child.
You gonna regret saying that
ETA: I can’t think of single city in Louisiana less open to “outsiders” than Lafayette lol. The most cliquish city in the state.

True. Besides, won't most of their stuff be coming back and forth from Texas? Jennings looks like the route that will probably be most used.

Did not know that. Wasn't that a 5A school?
It was until 2017 . Southside cut it's population by more than half. About half of southside Lafayette, Milton, Broussard, and Youngsville was zoned for Comeaux. It had over 2k students for a solid decade or so. Was 2nd only to Lafayette High. When they closed it this spring it was done to 650 or so.

Will eventually mostly be done by ship. They will have ports in TX, LA, and FL for shipping
