People think that workers will commute from Lafayette but that wouldn’t be effective at all. It’s an hour and 15 minutes from Lafayette to Pecan Island. That’s if there’s no traffic. It’s gonna be easily over an hour and 30 minutes when you add traffic.

Based on what I've seen with similar projects in Sulphur/Cameron, and with the similar road infrastructure out to VP/PI, that 1:15 will be 2:30, min.

While subcontractors like the Renotek Group LLC and GowraTech LLC have been disbarred for violations, they will be eligible again in August of 2027. Workers will be employees of companies like them and not of SpaceX.
I'm just saying there could be ghugni or falafel stands at the Festival International in Laffy within 5 or 6 years.

Yea but part of that is so they can annex more South LC in the future

and they just closed Comeaux high school..
If anything closing Comeaux and turning it into a career center for students not looking at a four year experience post high school will be beneficial for these kids to have them ready to work in an exploding job market and help keep more of the blue collar jobs local.

No one is going to build a subdivision next to White Lake. In order to be reasonably safe from storm surge, Abbeville is the farthest south anyone will likely invest. I agree with the post above that the growth will likely be in Abbeville and Maurice.
