A lot of you that are convinced he's guilty should realize what happened today. The prosecution moved to vacate his conviction, and, while doing so, admitted they have evidence that possibly implicates other people. This wasn't some technicality that got his case thrown out. And it's got to be pretty rare for the prosecution to do this without some hard evidence against someone else.

I was pretty convinced he was guilty before today, but the evidence presented at trial didn't prove he was. After today, I'm leaning towards innocent.

Jay knew where the victim’s car was which means he was involved. Adnan was with Jay basically the whole day after school per multiple witnesses (track practice aside). Obviously, Adnan is involved for this reason alone. Jay is a POS but so is Adnan. I believe he is guilty AF. That said, if they retry him, very hard to reconvict. Jay has given sooo many inconsistent statements.

The State Attorney for this case:

Somehow not surprising

I don’t trust the above demographic to be fair and impartial with the justice system.

It's a technicality. And some liberal judge agreed to go along with it. Nothing more.

Based on the evidence, the killer had to be Adnan or Jay; there is no other scenario that fits the evidence. Jay knew how Lee was murdered, where Lee was bured, where the car was hidden, and had an alibi for the time of murder. Jay could not have known those things unless Adnan told Jay and asked for his help hiding the body.

I know they did the podcast on this. But is this the same thing HBO did the miniseries drama on as well? The middle eastern taxi driver played by the guy who played the metal drummer who went deaf a few years ago. Blanking on the actor's name...

Isn't she, Mosby, a political activist DA? What's the chances they'll choose to retry him? Slim and none.

Edgy, but ignores the massive amount of media attention this case has gotten for over two decades now.

Again, that’s only if you believe that he wasn’t told where the car was. Apparently there is some sort of shadiness going on with one of the detectives.

So the detectives told Jay to lie about he and Adnan dumping the car?? And how did they know where to find the car? Completely far-fetched and the only way to attempt to dispose of the damning fact that Jay knew where to find the car and he and Adnan were together all day the day she went missing.

This guy was in high school when it happened, so no.

Did you listen to any of the Jay interviews? He was definitely being fed info by the police.

Police thought they had their guy, but needed more evidence. They likely busted Jay on some sort of bullshite drug charge (he did sell drugs) and used that to pressure him into going on with their version of events.

I don’t believe much of what comes out of Jay’s mouth. So I’m evaluating based upon the knowledge he appears to have possessed about: how she died, how and where her body was disposed of. Sure, the cops knew this too. But until Jay told them, they didn’t know where her car was. If he knew this, which he appears to have known independently, then he is involved in her murder. If he is involved so is Adnan.

I honestly had never heard of this case prior to today.
And I typically follow these type of stories.
It happened in 1999, which is right around the time I had babies crawling around the house. So that excuses me.
But, I'd be interested in catching up on the story

I obviously believe he is guilty. That said, Serial is very good and I highly recommend.
