everyone fighting to save the pregnant mom and baby felt like old school ER there

Yeah, no doubt. Had a flashback to the famous episode in season 1 when the mom dies after Greene does the C-section in the ER. Really good TV during that scene.

I enjoyed the finale. Some closure to storylines and I’m curious what Robby decides to do for his sabbatical if he even leaves at all or does something else

Wish this would have been resolved before the episode ended. I can't imagine they're setting it up for him to adopt baby Jane Doe.

Al hashimi

Kind of a far fetched scenario, IMO. Knowing about her condition for her whole life, I don't she how she would choose a specialty that she wouldn't be able to work in if she ever had a relapse. Would have been a better story if the onset was from some incident that happened after she was fully trained. I'd have felt sorry for her in that case...now, like you said, I just think she's irresponsible and selfish.

Thought the Langdon and Robby scene was a little too late and kind of missed the mark. He basically just reiterated everything Abbott told him.

Overall, entertaining season. Definitely had some great moments and the character development was really good for the most part. Looking forward to another season.
What a poo poo platter of a field. Horschel/Hoge announced this morning as well.

Langdon is going to fail his urine test because he stole frickleberry’s badge to order drugs.

Interesting theory. Not sure if he would've been in a hurry to go take his urine drug screen if that was the case. Or is that really where he ran off to?

I see this way too often. Unfortunately the other posts are mostly correct. Not much you can do with glasses once the retina (macula) is damaged. It's like changing the lens on a camera when the fim is damaged doesn't help take a better picture.

The Lighthouse for the Blind has some really good resources. They may need a referral from her eye MD to get the ball rolling.

I can't wait for the Jomboy lip read video.

You don't need Jomboy. It's pretty obvious:

"NO!!! That's fricking bullshite! God Damnit! You gotta be shittin me!"

DeRosa just acknowledged that he "misspoke" on MLB network earlier today when he said they had already clinched. That's not misspeaking, that's not knowing the scenario until someone told him he was wrong afterwards.
It goes to earned runs allowed, then team batting average, then coin flip.

More simply we just need the United States of America to win.

It's getting to be over the top actually. How many times was he going to call that guy fat to his face? The zoo CT scanner comment had me cracking up because we used to actually talk about doing that when I was an intern.

Wonder if Al-Hashimi is going to get a bad outcome with that central retinal artery occlusion patient. She definitely provided the necessary info to let the patient make a sound decision, but they've been hinting at something bad happening to her the whole season.

The Dr. King deposition stuff is getting a little over the top too. She's an ER doctor on a shift. Really unlikely she'd be pulled in the middle of it for something like that. It's not an actual trial. Now they're bringing her sister back as a patient next week, so something is likely going to happen with that storyline then.

No, it's not that toe is definitely on the line.

They said on the line is considered in bounds.
Swiss have just been better today. US forced to take 1 with hammer 4 times.

feel bad for the deaf woman who can’t get any answers or finally a translator . Hope her lingering around doesn’t have a bad outcome due to not getting help

Feel like this is obviously coming. Especially with the theme of Santos making mistakes and being more worried about her charting than her patients.

quote:

al hashimi has MS or PTSD or something going on with her panicked call to her neurologist

They're definitely hinting at PTSD with the reference to the hospital bombing and her military service background. But the call to neuro suggests something more physical and less psychological.

I don't think this is great hockey or anything, but it's infinitely more watchable than women's basketball.

why would you just not peel off every stone the Swiss throw from the beginning. If you don’t miss they can’t get two, much less three.

From a few pages back in this thread:

quote:

Under the current Five-Rock Rule (adopted in 2018), teams cannot remove an opponent's stones located in the Free Guard Zone (FGZ) until the first five rocks of an end have been played. If a guard is removed before this, the thrown rock is removed, and all other stones are replaced.

Key details of the rule:
The Rule: The first 5 rocks of an end (3 by the team without hammer, 2 by the team with hammer) cannot be knocked out of play.

Free Guard Zone: This is the area between the hog line and the house.
Penalty: If an opposing guard is knocked out of play, the played stone is removed, and the guard is placed back.

Strategy: This rule forces teams to keep more rocks in play, reducing blank ends and encouraging more offensive strategies.

Exceptions: A team may remove their own guard, or move an opponent's guard within the FGZ, but cannot remove it entirely.
2nd time he’s done that with the last throw today. Let them right back in it.
Good start for the men this morning. 4 in the first end. Had a bad throw with hammer in the 3rd end that lead to a German steal. Pick it up here.
The US women's skip missed another shot there in the 9th end. She had a bad last 2 throws against Sweden yesterday too. Not having a great olympics so far.

Looks like a possible fasciotomy incision under the bottom part of that bed sheet. Probably had compartment syndrome to go along with the complex tibia fracture.
Played at the English Turn qualifier a couple of years ago when the state am was at TPC. Pretty sure 78 got through, 79 made a playoff.
