How did I learn how to listen to a joke?

A joke telling situation involves certain etiquette from the listener. Don’t interrupt the joke teller’s rhythm, provide energy in the form of anticipation, laugh at the right time.
But I don’t remember anyone ever telling me ‘This is how you listen to a joke’. Or watch a video or take a course...

What do you think of when you see a screw installed on a wall?

At a specific moment in time a person was in that spot turning the screw. When was that? Who were they?
What was happening in your life at that exact moment the screw was being installed?
And it waits. Does it hope to be turned again?...

It might be the only day of the year when almost all of them are empty. With no vehicles around the scale of all those asphalt surfaces at strip malls and Walmarts becomes readily apparent. What if they weren’t needed and were something else?
