I think a lot of guys get into training because they have always walked around weak and scared.

After getting lots fights under their belts they have confidence and ability which is great.

But it’s pretty stupid to think a guy that’s never trained in martial arts can’t throw a punch that will knock ya the eff out.

Obviously when you combine a decade of training with strong natural abilities, 99.9% of guys will have a real problem on their hands.

I was being sarcastic. The only time we start on our knees if there are too many people on the mat and there's not enough room.

The Gracie's dominated the early UFC against other fighting styles, boxing, kickboxing, karate etc... because they knew how to take people down, even if it was via guard pull.

Once you reach Purple belt you should at least have one take down (a throw, single leg, double leg, etc..) that no one can defend.

quote:

He is getting the Hollywood treatment during his “training”

Flip side to that is he can pay the highest level guys for private lessons.

He's not getting the Derek Moneyburg treatment I don't think.

The baddest assed mutha fukka I ever knew in high school was on the swim team and was also in all honors classes and looked like a complete nerd wit his school uniform on.

One day the stating Defensive End on the football team decided to FA with him....then got physical. So the swimmer decided to get physical back with him and kicked his arse ..... soundly despite a 6 inch and 60 lbs difference.

Today they are still best friends and business partners
