So guy came off of Canal and crashed in front of the Royal Sonesta? Geez it could’ve been even worse if he kept going into the middle section of Bourbon where more bars are.

Yes. If that man lift wasn’t there the casualties numbers would likely be much higher, especially if he had time to detonate the explosives. (Onsite or remotely)

Yup. He thankfully ran into a boom lift construction crews were using. Could have been significantly worse.

This may be the New Year Day cocktails brewing but……
Is anyone, including local government, concerned about a possible attack on the levee system? This would seem as a perfect distraction tactic with the sugar bowl security considered paramount to cause major havoc on the city. Just my two cents. We will see. Hopefully the 3 letter agencies are still considering the potential for a catastrophic attack.
