I searched for a snip it and couldn’t find one yet. I’m sure it will be making its rounds by end of day. Finebaum dragged Kiffin through the mud and was visibly upset. Pretty wild, even from Finebaum.
My mistake it’s SEC Nation, not SEC Now.

re: Lane Hit Piece on GameDay right now

Finebaum just went full in on Kiffin during a SEC Nation segment. Essentially called him a piece of shite and everything is about him. The whole panel was pretty shocked. Rodgers & Tebow went in on Funebaum immediately. Harper framed a sensible rebuttal to Finebaum putting the ownership of the situation on Ole Miss. Finebaum went full retard, SEC Media Days will be fun.

Well he did back out of the interview after Rece Davis said they were going to ask him fair but tough questions.
Can’t imagine Lane Kiffin backing out of Gameday for public opinion. We have a long way to go in this years class and this is peak recruiting season. We also have to align a coaching staff still.
Kiffin will go scorched earth on Reece Davis next season at Gameday and Reece won’t be able to argue from his position at ESPN. Will be must see TV for Gameday at LSU next year when they interview him.
Never said he was still great recruiter. Only said he was better at evaluating HS talent than coaching.
Do you think Mathieu can identify quality HS talent? I think his tenure as a premier athlete would suggest so, not to mention he’d lock down NOLA. Are you aware of what he’s done for the athletic youth in the city since joining the NFL? It’s been substantial. He likely knows a majority of the better athletes coming of recruiting age in NOLA by a first name basis.
re: Keep Frank Wilson.. if Lane bringing OM’s RB coach… make Wilson Special Teams Coord.

Can’t keep holding on to the past. NOLA HS coaching has changed since the good ole days. Money talks over relationships. Ed O will gladly walk into those houses if Frank won’t.

Frank is a much better HS player evaluator than ball coach. See if he’d like to stay in that capacity. If not, no sweat, Kiffin is the draw. However, if we lose Frank then keeping Raymond is crucial for defensive recruiting.

Is he saying they had plans but in laws couldn’t go because of money so now they’re going because he’s paying for it?
Correct. It’s not a big deal. $800 bucks for wife to be happy and two children to go to Disney for first time. No sweat.
Some of yall sound like broke arse haters and terrible men. Happy Thanksgiving figs.

How did you get conned into this arrangement?
Wasn’t a con, I wanted take the kids to Disney almost as bad as my wife. Perfect ages of 5 & 7. I’m not going to let two deadbeats disappoint my wife or take this away from their children.
Flew into Central Florida yesterday with Wife (no pics) so she can enjoy Thanksgiving with her family. Pothead SIL is hosting.
Wife would also like to take her niece and nephew to Disney. Well in advance arrangements were made, tickets booked hotel booked. Whatever you want baby (we all know the drill). Find out Tuesday SIL/BIL aren’t going which means niece and nephew aren’t going. Wife is crushed she cannot go to Disney with her niece and nephew. Guess who is now paying for SIL, BIL, niece, and nephew to go to Disney for two days? I feel like Clark Griswold. I love their children so it’s completely fine, but wtf you can’t let us know in advance? I’d would have rather gone to fricking Miami, same for my wife.
Wednesday, flight landed 12pm drive 1.5 hour north to visit with the kids and see if we can help in preparation for tomorrow. Nothing is done and the house is FILTHY. I asked SIL repeatedly if I could help prepare some of the food or get some things ready as she “works from home” but was repeatedly met with no. Wife was also incredibly off put by the state of the house and lack of preparation so we left after a few hours for nice dinner and many drinks. Very grateful we booked a hotel room.
This is our first holiday with her family in 4 years. Usually spend holidays with my family for obvious reasons and lucky for me likely will for all eternity. This morning she rolled over and said, let’s not do this again. I’m elated but playing the, “ok, are you sure? It’s not that bad.” game because I’m good like that. She’s now listing off all the reasons why we can never come back. Thanksgiving hasn’t even started and it’s already been a success/win for me. Just have to go grab a bottle of bourbon and push through the next 72 hrs. Wish me luck.

I like BR but his shtick since Gov Landry got involved has gotten ridiculous. How many episodes can you whine about the governor. All his bitching is for nothing if we land Lane.
Sometimes he reminds me of a liberal woman.

This situation has many folds, Verge giving a deadline is not one of them.
Kiffin has two huge choices here…
1) Unimpeded competition with recruiting and a history of championships. More NIL money than he can spend combined with salary. You just have to win.
2) Heavy competition with recruiting. Similar salary with close NIL but schedule complicates championships. Winning/losing isn’t tied to being fired necessarily, but expectations are present. Ex-wife loves it there.
If Kiffin is about the chase and getting out from under other’s (Father, Saban, Meyer, Spurrier) shadow, LSU gives you the best opportunity/path. If Kiffin wants to please everyone around him and the championship is a bonus then UF is the choice.
LSU is Kiffin’s best shot back to the pros as well. Win 2 championships and every NFL team with a vacancy will be calling. I would argue the quickest way to pursue that path is with LSU instead of UF. FSU & UM aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. FSU is likely to hire a new coach within the next 2 years if not sooner. Do you really want to go through the SEC gauntlet and then have to play FSU or Miami on top of recruiting against them? I don’t think so. ThrowUSF into the mix and it’s a no win scenario for a total rebuild at UF. That would take some serious time and foundation laying.
LSU is always 1-2 years away from a championship. Always. The state’s talent and money is top 3 in the country. We have witnessed two championship teams with BK get absolutely squandered at LSU. All the regional coaches know it. Even Kiffin has made remarks about the roster. The clear choice is LSU. Only question is, does Kiffin still want a championship chase or does he want a check. Ball is in his court.

You are setting yourself up for the biggest legendary status of all time or the biggest loser of all time. Your judgment day is pending. Your proclamations are becoming less feasible. Doubt is increasing, confidence fading.
Hope you’re right, this would be huge for LSU.

Loosen crank strap to at least 3 foot. Slowly go down ramp. When it floats stop. Climb on dock or trailer tongue and hop in boat. Dock it, hop back in vehicle and pull off. Simple, I do it with my 24’ Tidewater all the time.

Now we are talking. Timeline’s starting to come together for things. Crazy Ole Miss doesn’t want to let this man coach through the playoffs. Deal or no deal signed.

What’s the deadline?
He’s leaving Ole Miss for sure. Where he’s going is best guess. Never underestimate Sexton.

Philly, you’ve made a sucker out of me since we fired BK. I hope you’re right and I want to believe.
I have one question. What happened with Saban?
