For those who are not familiar withe the Backyard Ultra Marathon format it is very different than a point-to-point race or a looped track with a defined start and finish time. In Backyard Ultras like the Last Soul Ultra, runners all step up to the start line every hour on the hour and run one full loop. Each loop is 4.17 miles.

They have 60 minutes to run those 4.17 miles and make it back to the start line. If they finish with time to rest before the next hour/loop begins, they can sit down, use the bathroom, take in some food, sleep if they are able to, etc. But when the next hour begins they are off on the new loop.

If they do not complete the 4.17 mile loop in the 60 minutes they ring the bell and they’re out. If they want to quit at any point they ring the bell and they’re out.

This sounds miserable. But I am impressed. He probably burned 39,000 calories.

2. 6,000 lbs for a boat is ridiculous. This for tuna fishing?

Some of the new wakeboarding boats weigh more than that and cost 200k+.

So then you need a 60k truck to tow it.
Jake Lang also nearly got killed outside the Gracie Mansion in NYC.

He also spent some time in prison after Jan 6. He also has some felonies pending for threatening to kill Karmelo Anthony. Dude lives life on the edge.
Dearborn crew certainly doesn't seem to be big fans of Freedom of Speech.

1) You don't need a weapon to kill.
2) They also threw rocks at him on camera.

A suspect in a caught-on-camera attack on right-wing provocateur Jake Lang is a “criminal illegal alien from Iraq” who previously served a lengthy prison sentence for a murder in Detroit, according to the feds.

Abbas Abdoush, 57, emigrated to the US from Iraq in 1992, but lost his legal status when he was convicted of second-degree murder in 1999, a year after intentionally crashing a borrowed van into a woman, according to court records viewed by Detroit News.

Abdoush served more than 15 years and was ordered to be removed from the US in June 2022, according to ICE.

Abbas Abdoush, an Iraqi illegal immigrant who assaulted Jake Lang, is set for ICE deportation, according to reports.
However, he was arrested Aug. 2 at the annual Arbaeen celebration in Muslim-heavy Dearborn for allegedly assaulting Lang as the controversial campaigner shouted anti-immigrant, pro-ICE rhetoric through a bullhorn from the sidewalk.

Apparently Jake Lang is going to march on Dearborn again Tuesday. This dude is braver than I am.

This isn't an H1B thing. Unless Greg Abbot and Dan Patrick drafted the constitution, there's literally nothing they can do about this.

It is really a problem that comes from the Immigration act of 1965 (so it is fair to blame a Texan, just make sure and blame LBJ).

Other than just moving further away in town, where do you want him to go? They have a mosque in every city in Bossier, Ruston, and Monroe (and thats just what I know about in North Louisiana). The Monroe one is packed on Fridays.

When do we make the entire religion a terrorist organization and mass deport?

I like that idea but good luck. It is actually fairly logical, but the suicidal empathy crowd will say it is unconstitutional.

And I highly doubt anyone is arrested for assaulting Jake or the camera man today even though they should be.

It is terrifying that they have set up shop in basically every town of any decent size in America at this point.

I mean it did happen.

Even though it was the all star game, Im surprised the league was dumb enough to use the footage in promo material.

Blame your state leaders for allowing Indians to take over whole affordable neighborhoods

I blame federal leaders. We need immigrants, but we should be taking them from countries with similar backgrounds (like we did before LBJ overhauled the immigration system).

Now I will say that growth of a metro leads to rising prices. Thats why many in this thread can't appreciate that if they live in stagnant regions in the south.
There used to be at least a handful of people doing this in Forsythe Park in Monroe. Always seemed intriguing to me. There arent docks anymore there, idk if anyone actually live in the Boats on the WM side.
This board harps on Texas, and while I agree that is a problem, I also see a lot of them in Louisiana.

There is a mosque in a former church right off I 20 in Bossier, there is one south of the interstate in Ruston, and a purpose built one north of Monroe that often times has an overflowing parking lot.

Acadian Ambulance. Charging 10k to bring someone to the hospital while some random 30 yr old who passed a 6 month EMT course takes your blood pressure and counts your respirations but can't do more than 5 MPH over the speed limit and cant/won't administer any drugs unless they recieve permission from the unit supervisor and then putting people into collections for it when they can't afford it, while also paying previous said EMT 35k a year.....

Honestly, how do they get people to work as EMTs. Unless you are trying to get on with a fire department (which in some states can pay well), otherwise it just doesn't seem worth it. You can make way more money as a plumber (nb4 trades argument).
Dude should be fine if he has been wise with his Texas money.

something to keep in mind as unlock dates approach…some very big money positions have been waiting years, some many many years, for liquidity. Any bounce after unlocking is going to trigger selling. And it seems historically likely that the bouncing as the unlocks progress will be to lower highs, and lower lows.

Its got to be somewhat unsettling for the long term investors to have had their perceived value of investment cut in half over the last 6 weeks.

And I don’t think it’s undervalued. I think anything under 120 is worth the risk of buying in and it still dropping to 100. It’s just as likely to me that the bleed out stabilizes in the 110s, the lockups release and dont collapse the stock às much as the doom amd gloom is reporting, and the company hovers in the 120s-130s until it hits an inflection point where free cash stops being burned and earnings explode.

Well if that is the case then we are at the floor today.

I personally think we have a lot more downward movement to go.

I mean he did buy up at least one very modest property in south texas and have it remodeled to live in while he is down there.

Yep. Morningstar said it should be worth $63 dollars a share. I figure they know more than me. So if it gets there I am going to buy a lot of shares. But even then it seems like a gamble.
I like Max Homa's comments. Max Homa seems like one of the chillest guys on tour.
