So quiet around here

I don’t feel like those photos mean all that much

How do you gather so much information to charge the guy but can’t determine his legal status? What a clown world.

That a random x account says it’s unknown doesn’t mean the authorities have no idea

Why would Iran agree to these? How will they rebuild their country that the USA and Israel just destroyed?

They need enriched uranium and to fund hamas in order to rebuild?

Maybe they could shift some funds out of international terrorism and into infrastructure to balance things
With French quarter fest shifted I was figuring this would be extra crowded

ETA: one of the hotels is just a bit north of the quarter. Also she'll probably be making ~$125k-$140k a year.

That is absolutely not what the pay is for what I assume is HRI hiring that role
I for one am ok if we use boots on the ground sparingly and not in every little dust up. I do hope we maintain a force to fill those boots on a moments notice when needed though.

Interestingly, now that he's older he will sit down and watch sports on tv. Just would not do it when he was young.

Excluding huge games- A lot of sports a boring as heck on tv - I think most of us old folks like them because the format and parameters are predictable and ultimately the drama is relatively inconsequential. Your brain can enjoy it on autopilot after a long day

Less appealing to a 12 year old with unlimited energy, and a world to discover
Would be an amusing French twist if they revealed her as trans officially.

seeing both sides wrestle with trump calling a trans woman beautiful would be popcorn worthy

What did we win in negotiations?

Call me crazy, but I think we’ve only agreed to the framework of negotiations not to the actual terms but we will see

Over/under 7 days before the next bomb?

With millions of people, even a small zealous minority can look substantial in this setting

“Make sure you join the Quan Millz Ratchet Book Club on Facebook to stay up to date with new book releases, contests, and much more!“
Westins should generally hit the mark for the 99.5% of us

And even that last 0.5% in many many markets.

There may be specific properties or rooms at a property that miss- but by large it’s a reliable high end brand

Those workers are being paid with unused bond dollars from a DPW account, not the general fund.

Does that indicate new jobs created against disappearing dollars?

It has absolutely zero to do with this councilman what a private citizen chooses to do with their money.

Can you imagine how all the people “asking the questions” would be reacting if someone went to them asking how and where they spent their personal money?

They’d probably say frick you just like 50 did
Seems that politician is wildly misunderstanding his role in regards to distributing tax dollars vs a private citizen making a private donation.

Transparency and public process is demanded of Alan spending MY money not 50 spending his own money

Biggest project is transitioning some shady areas to better shade tolerant grass

Did some test plugs last year and they did well so I am putting a bunch of citrablue st Aug in two sections of the yard with tree coverage

Stuff I plugged a couple weeks ago already moving again - so feeling pretty good about it. Some parts i had given up hope on previously so this has been exciting.

Yup, industry makes the decision that maximizes shareholder value unless their is a reason not to... This can often result in "irrational" or "harmful" long term decisions in favor of short term savings. Local government and potential future liability can serve as the only checks on this process by ensuring that the long term needs are accounted for and weighed at the outset of a project.

And frankly a huge portion of local government has no material knowledge about this level of tech or environmental impact

It's not a fact. Educate yourself before posting. The older data centers use a lot of water. The newer ones don't use much water at all. Microsoft is building the world's "first AI super factory" in Atlanta and it uses other liquids for cooling.

Ultimately, it’s all moving so fast that it’s hard for anyone to keep up with and rarely does that coincide with billionaires making decisions that are good for you and I

Some vets seem compassionate, but I really believe a vet I saw recently truly only cares about money

Had one like 10 years ago and had a seizure- diagnosed as tumor in the head. Given weeks… maybe a month or two.

They tried to get us to put her under anesthesia solely for a tooth cleaning because it was about that timeline in normal health situations

My big dog had her Spleen removed a few years ago, emergency surgery and then a week later we found the cause of her problems was Cancer. Insurance paid $5950 on a $6050 bill. We got my inlaws to get it and their dog broke it's leg right after, ins paid out to them also. We have the emergency only plan. If you don't plan on putting your dog down, it's a no brainer. My Sister in law also got covered under exploratory surgery when her dog ate a rubber ball. We have Nationwide by the way.

Similar success if you call having a great family pet with terrible genetics success.

Last pup had both knees blow out and a bummer of cancer diagnosis plus some skin allergies issues along the way.

The knees were like 4-5k each but paid out at 90%

With the cancer we ended up with a solid happy extra year that I couldn’t have otherwise justified without 90% coverage.
