a few decades ago, I would have said yes...however, society has changed to the point that I think it is almost the normal thing to do nowadays.

In my experience, the trashy ones get knocked up before moving in together even enters their minds. The educated/non-trashy folks seem to co-habitate.

You don't truly know someone until you live with them. It makes sense to live with someone before you say I do. Not sure how that makes one trashy. It's also a sound financial decision. Why pay for two places when you will most likely spend most of your time at one?
