Is anyone else becoming wary of what you buy on amazon?

They have a major problem of counterfeit products and junk being sold on their website. It's become almost a 50/50 shot of whether you get something of quality or not. Not to mention all the reviews are fake so you can't tell whats good and whats not. I have started to buy in stores again so they can sort through through all the junk products for me. Anyone else have this problem with amazons quality?

Why not just buy from a known seller? It’s probably Prime that too.

No, because I pay attention to what I'm doing and buy products sold by Amazon, not some fly-by-night third party that has access to their platform.

I, long ago, lost the desire to further enrich Jeff Bezos.

Walmart online is really becoming a better option than Amazon and their shipping is usually faster now as well.

If you read what the product is that your buying then you would not have this problem. People bargain shop on Amazon and buy the cheapest thing they can find that looks similar.

I started buying a lot of stuff local again when they decided to jump ahead and charge sales tax in Alabama and lots of places price match Amazon.

No. I haven't had a drop in quality except when I am buying something I know is a knockoff trying to save some money.

I bought two LSU shirts that looked legit that were utter pieces of crap. Wasn’t going to go through the trouble of returning them though.

Some things aren't so simple. I bought energizer batteries that that say sold by Amazon and have the Energizer branding everywhere, but the packaging looks a little different and I'm not sure the batteries last as long. A lot of items have this problem where the product seems completely real online and what you get is fake.
