the left tells us that they can't even afford to get an ID, much less a plane ticket.

Has anyone on here had a hip replacement?
my old college roommate, 49, has had both of his replaced. he had the thing where blood flow gets cut off and the bones sort of rot from the inside.
The first one went really well at about 38 or 39 and the second one was about 5 years later but he really had a tough time with it. said that he got an infection on the cut and the rehab people kept opening it back up accidentally. a week later they had to go cut a little more from around it and sew it back up and then it was ok.
Another friend of mine has had the same one replaced twice. he was born with one leg a little shorter than the other so it wallowed out the hip bone. the first time it was extended and replaced. It never seemed to be right at that point and the second one extended it a bit more and replaced and you wouldn't know it was even done other than a slight limp. Both recoveries were minimal.

I like Favreau, so I hope he knocks it out of the park. But I'm just not seeing much hype for this film. What are your predictions for it?
I think Pedro Pascal fatigue is setting in at this point. I will go see it because I have been a huge Star Wars nerd since I was young. I think it will be a more family centered fun movie. Hard core older fans probably won't like it as much as the OG trilogy (shocker) but the younger fans will really enjoy it.
Overall, it won't make a billion at the office but I think those days are over in the cinemas. I think it will land around 500 million and stick there. It will get a big rush up front for a couple weeks and if they let it linger for a couple months in the theaters, it will trickle it's way to 500 million.

So I’m hoping you were being facetious when you said no one wanted him fired and that he is the best coach we’ve ever had.
in reality, he might have been the best coach we ever had. He was a 65-70% win percentage against the toughest competition that we ever faced week in and week out with our two biggest rivals being at their absolute best in their histories. Who would you argue is above him? Tuberville? Tubs was solid but he was roughly the same win percentage against much inferior opponents with Alabama being the worst they were in 30 years.
I don't disagree, ultimately, parting ways with Gus. My problem is that we did it on a throwaway Covid year that meant jack shite and we have been cursed since.
It got a vagina or penis? If a vagina, vast improvement over a lot of pageants these days./

Not only are you still clueless behind the why of this, but your best defense is weak as frick
well the fact that California added about 25 cents of taxes to fuels when Trump took office is a big reason why this happened. They were already the highest taxed state on fuel and they added more and then they went to war with the refineries there.
Now, to be honest, this war is hurting the pump price but it is hurting it less than Biden's war against big oil in general.
Diesel is about 5.50 here in south Alabama as of a couple days ago.

Cut the program now.
Refund people the money they stole plus interest and let people invest in their own future
Id be good with this solution. shite, between that and my Roth/401k, I could build a new house and retire now at 47. I have paid in close to 200k into it over 34 years. Even at a measly 3 or 4% interest, I would be a millionaire now and I could stick that in dividend funds and live the rest of my life.
I will never get out of SS what I have contributed with any interest.
I am one that actually thinks retirement age shouldnt be a consideration with benefits, it should be amount of time contributed and then you get a monthly amount based on what you put in.
re: What was your first real job in high school? Like where you had to clock in, etc.
Posted by Warfarer on 3/9/26 at 4:39 pm to LSUguy2023
I've been doing concrete since I was 13. My first job was being dropped off and the waste water treatment in Eufaula each day by a different company and having to manage myself and my time. I had to go around the bottom of the pond and chip the little edge off the bottom so we could install a liner for the pond. I worked every holiday and summer leading up to my senior year. I made minimum wage the whole time but a 13 year old rocking a $120 check going to the mall in 1991 was pretty fricking balling. Tacos at Taco Bell were .39 each, arcade was a quarter so a $10 bag of tokens would last me a couple weeks. fricking best years.

I was coming to look for a thread on this one. I watched it Thursday or Friday night and really enjoyed it. I could see someone who is super religious could get upset about the idea that everyone is there even though they don't show any really bad people or crime.
I really laughed at how Teller and Olson acted like they were still old and talked like they were still old people.

and I am honestly ok with not knowing that right now. this is how they used to develop characters. They didn't skip all the steps or make them perfect.

I watched it last week and really enjoyed it also. it is a slow burn as designed but added a lot of depth to the character. The whole cast seemed good overall. Im curious what they will do with he character going forward.
honestly, somewhere around an 8 for a villain. He has the acting chops and looks to be a smug a-hole consistently.

I've only been looking at mid-size trucks but I don't think this is close to true.
What do you think isn't close to true? Comparing a GMC Sierra 1500 with the SLT package against the Ford F150 Lariat, the two are much more comparable than you would think, the price difference is about 5-10,000 on the sticker. Ford rarely runs good incentives anymore while GMC has a ton of rebates right now. Roughly the same trade, the difference between the two when it comes to priced them was 45k after trade on the GMC and 58k on the Ford. The ford was a 2025 truck, brand new and the GMC was a brand new 2026.

and this is why they want so much for a pickup now though. I had a ford dealership tell me last week, when I told him flat out that they just want too much for their trucks, that if I didn't buy it someone else will. He's right. There are people who will only buy Fords no matter that they are 15000 higher than a GMC now. For me, a truck is a tool that I use, Im not loyal to one brand.
re: Q: Why no diversity in your movie cast? A: It's about Denmark in the 1750s.

my ex wife watched Bridgerton, it think that is the show, and she asked if I wanted to watch it with her. I looked at it, there was a black queen in an interracial marriage in like 1700s England and I just told her no and kept walking.
the diversity shite in movies drives me crazy. there is a check box of at least one black, one gay, on weirdo that you question in every friend group.

I had the feeling that the NCR group was a group of the controlled like Hank talked about releasing.
The NCR was nothing at this point. Hank literally says he released a bunch of controlled and you’ll never know who is controlled or not. Then all of a sudden a full unit of NCR shows up?
I think he "committed suicide" at the end and wasn't setting off the others. I think the NCR was the NCR because the black lady was the one in the desert that knew the ghoul.
I think, when he said that he released it out there, was him saying the enclave now has it and it is out there.

Not sure what the problem is. You can pretend to be an entire other sex but you can't pretend to be another race or age? what if her goal was to simply learn more because she fricked around the first trip through and she is more focused now? She pays taxes that fund the school so let her use it.

I wish him nothing but the best. I would tak the cash an go get out of the current rat race with nil.
I wouldn’t be shocked if he popped back up coaching high school somewhere in a few years to scratch the itch.

Watched it last night. There were a few fun moments. Mamoa is pretty much himself and is the lead. Bautista did a good job of being the more serious foil. Morena Baccarin was limited but as good as always. The kid from Spiderman and Temuera Morrison also limited but decent.
There were some good action scenes but a lot of Bautista fights looked too choreographed. The one man takes on a group shots were kind of laughable. It could have been better and it could have been worse. A decent watch but not much more. It felt like they spent a lot of money but still somehow seemed a bit cheap.
watched it Thursday or Friday and you pretty much hit on all my points too. Bautista is tatted now that he looks really dark.
Both leads were fine for two guys I wouldn't miss if they were never in a movie.

For another 15k you can get a 2026 GMC 1500 with the SLT PACKAGE which has leather and everything else in it.
I will say this, if there was "journalist" that went in an abortion clinic with cameras filming people in there because there was a silent protest against th clinic where a group was outside praying for the people inside, would the left arrest everyone involved?
The answer is absolutely yes. They would arrest them and put them all in jail for as long as they could.
These two things are both protected by the same law, the face act.
