realistically, CD's/high yields are paying 5%$ so 2.5m in... is 125....
Then 2~ in the s and p.... take 500k and buy into some vacation homes/potential air b and b opportunities... I would never be seen again at the shop that's for sure!!

would buy into the company I presently work for. agree to hire and train someone to replace me. while allowing that $5M to double (or close to it). then, have money not only for toys/trips/etc. for me, but have enough to be sure family and friends can enjoy it with me...when I feel like having others around.

Yep, the benefits I get are hard to beat. I could double that 5 mil by investing half of it over the next ten years and then retire

I’d quit for a lot less than that.

Yes I would but, definitely would take more time off to travel more. Would probably retire earlier than planned though. I work from home though and my schedule is flexible. If it was an office job then hell no, I wouldn't work anymore.

Switch it up most likely. Something more 9-5, M-F. I’ve never had a job like that…

I'd buy a nicer house and work as little as is required to keep my benefits (30hrs/week I think).

I’d work long enough to tell them where I left their truck, keys, computer, phone and credit cards.

No. Diversify In a few good dividend accounts and live off of 5-10K per month forever.
