I think this is part of the reason, albeit a small reason, why our pitching has been ineffective. The strike zone has been so tight our pitchers in many cases are walking people they wouldn’t have or they are having to throw meatballs over the plate for strikes.
My son graduated HS last year and the way people act and dress should be embarrassing to them. Unfortunately, it’s not.

Agree. Crazy to lose so many games when scoring 7/8 runs or more. Reminds me of the football team with Jayden Daniels. Scoring 50pts and losing.

I lived there before Katrina and had no issues with it. 15 minutes to the west and you were in the French Quarter, 15 minutes “down the road” and you were launching your boat in some of the best fisheries in the world. It was low crime and had a familial feel to it. It’s completely different now though.

Completely agree. Actually was pretty great to grow up there. Moved alot but ended up mostly in Lexington. Never locked our doors. Always felt very safe and had a sense of community. Not at all like that anymore.
We’re very happy with our 5 burner gas cooktop and wall ovens. Easier to keep clean than our previous range and gives the kitchen a cleaner look IMO. To each their own though.
IDGAF, I’m 43 with a severely jacked up back. Zepbound and PT saved me from surgery.

My sense is that the college strike zone is usually called a bit more generously than the MLB zone, in part because college pitchers just generally don't have the consistent control that MLB guys do.

I actually have thought the strike zone was tiny compared to years past.
I put pts to sleep all the time for that. It’s called manipulation under anesthesia. Mostly with knees replacements and rotator cuff repairs. It’s a quick 2 min procedure but hurts like a MF hence the anesthesia
No one in my house seems to close the pantry door. Drives me nuts. Also, Dishes thrown in the dishwasher instead of neatly placed in there to maximize capacity.

re: Whirleybird vs roof vent

We went with ridge vents but we have alot of them. We also vented the entire soffit instead of a vent every 6 foot or so. Between that and radiant decking it’s hot in the attic but not nearly as hot as my old house with a single power vent.

Fair enough. I’m willing to pay a little more vs deal with the people you are talking about, not to mention the safety.

This is why I trade in. I make less no doubt. But all the paperwork is taken care of, there’s no one calling me a month later to complain about the car, and I don’t have to fool with idiots, scammers (besides the car salesman themselves) or being murdered over a few grand.
I’ve never been sick but didn’t want to chance it on an expensive offshore trip. I take a Pepcid And Dramamine/meclazine before leaving. I take a sprite with me in addition to waters, Gatorade. For some reason the carbonation and flavors settle my stomach. Then for breakthrough I bring some zofran pills.
Slidell is the worst. I feel like every light here either turns red when cars get close to it or it’s only green for 3 secs. Not surprising for this shithole and the idiots that work for the gubment here.
Agree. I think he’s been the most consistent of all the pitchers lately.
Can the US keep the most patient man I’ve ever heard and deport her arse instead?

Yes, they slip on and off. They have finger holes in the top to help with that. I put some neoprene Velcro straps around my jeans at the ankles to keep them from riding up as well.

Yamin needs reps at catcher, but it will probably not happen.

I don’t care who catches. I’d just like to see an LSU catcher this season keep a runner at 1st by not allowing passed balls that hit the glove and then actually catch a 3 strike pitch.
As much as I hate Tennessee, I hate the ATM fans more.
I assumed he was laughing bc he knew he got away with a bullshite call.
Agree but arrambide and serna were both rated as the top catcher coming out of high school.

That’s good for all the glove side passed balls serna allows. Less running for him.
