re: 300 Blackout AR Pistol - magicman534
PSA 10.5” upper, psa stripped lower. Magpul kit with cmc trigger, and sba3 brace. Love it. Run Barnes tac tx 110gr for supers and nosler custom competition 220gr for subs. Have a q trash panda that lives on the end of it. Wish I would’ve got the 8.5” barrel just to have a more compact set up though....

re: Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50 - magicman534
I have a 1-8 strike eagle and had two diamondback tactical ffps. I’m my opinion, for the strike eagle, over 5-6 zoom gets narrow and distorted. For the diamondback tacticals, anything over 10-12 power is the same. 24 zoom was a joke. I still like vortex, I just think if you want that much zoom to be...

re: Screw 2020 - Recommendation on spine surgeons - magicman534
Dr Davis in Slidell is great. Paul Celestre at Ochsner is probably one the best surgeons and overall docs I’ve ever worked with. Looks at the big picture and isn’t in a rush to operate. Meaning, if imaging isn’t bad will try less invasive stuff first. ...

re: tree removal - magicman534
Price depends on how big they are but mostly where they are. I had a 50ft oak cut down that was 10ft from my house. All the tree guys said it was an “all day job” and quoted me from 1200-1600 including stump as a cash price. I hired the cheapest guy and they started at 0800 and were done by 1030. Di...

re: How much do other people at the range unnerve you? - magicman534
Imagine being a range officer! You're all unnerving!
I stopped going to one particular range because of the range officers. I’m all for safety, but making fun of novices with ones buddies that one saves a table for while only being 20ft away is trashy. ...

re: Looking at replacement windows for 60yr old house - magicman534
I priced window world and Acadian. Once I compared apples to apples meaning window worlds good windows and Acadians it was almost a wash. Went with Acadian because they had a better warranty. Installers did an awesome job as well. For summer I didn’t see a huge difference in energy bill. However, it...

New home advice - magicman534
Does anyone have a hot water hose or hot/cold? Does the extra cost of running the plumbing for new construction make it worth the benefit of having hot water to a hose? Would place it where I would be washing a bay boat and cleaning ice chests/crawfish pots. Also, if building a new home today, wha...

re: Finishing new shop, help with order of operation - magicman534
I have a 20x20 uninsulated garage that I reload in. I was having a problem with my press and dies starting to rust a bit from the heat and humidity. I put a LG window unit in there that’s 8000btu. I was limited due to window opening. Anyway, I run it 24/7 at 75degrees and set it to dry mode or power...

re: Where to find .300blk ammo (subsonic) - magicman534
I'd be out there with my dorky little bag on the ejection port and pressing my own if I had the space to do it.
Call it what you want. It’s a money saver lol. One can always spot a reloader at a range bc they spend more time looking through other people’s wasted brass than shooting...

re: Recommendations on TSA approved rifle cases - magicman534
I looked at a lot of cases bc I wanted to fly 2 rifles and many claim to be double rifle cases but can’t fit 2 scoped rifles. I wound up buying the Plano field locker. I put both rifles in their positions, traced a outline and cut out the foam. It fits 2 rifles perfectly and is a solid case. Also, m...
