Would 100% retire.

Spend $500k on a new house and vehicle

Live off the interest of the remaining $4.5 million. I figure 5% is pretty reasonable. $225k per year (even pre-tax) goes a long way when you don't have a mortgage or car payment.

Not my current job. But I’d likely try to buy into being a silent partner in a local successful business if possible. Maybe a few

That is $220,000 a year in basic interest for the rest of your life. I could find ways to make a few dollars and have ins. not to have to deal with the corporate bs anymore.

Well of course. 5 million would not last long for an OT balla.

5 million TAX FREE? Hell yeah I would. I mean if I add that to what I've already saved I'd have 5 million!

If you invested $5 million wisely, you could receive easily north of 250k a year just an interest.

The average rate of return of stocks over the past 10 years is just above 10%. Over the last 30 years it's 12%. Anybody that can't find the discipline to retire on $500K-$600K a year deserves to work until the day they die.

The responses in this thread are clear indicators why reparations are a bad thing.

I would not continue what I am doing. I would buy some property I have been considering buying and create a new revenue stream for the nieces/nephews/and grandchildren.

I’d take a long vacation. Probably travel around with no plans. Then, when I got tired of that, I’d work on building a homestead with some cattle.

I'd put every penny of that 5 million in a Roth IRA and keep working until I'm 65 so I can afford all of my toys.
